A good fragrance without a "WOW effect"
Many thanks to Carsten for the bottling of Select Night :-) I quite like the fragrance itself. My best friend said he found it a bit boring and wouldn't classify it as anything special. The longevity is okay. The perfume radiates with a solid sillage for the first 6 hours or so.
The top note starts citrusy thanks to bergamot. Cardamom and lavender are then added and remind me a little of Le Mâle Eau de Toilette. The heart note smells quite woody and somewhat balsamic. This aroma intensifies in the base thanks to sandalwood. Bourbon vanilla provides a sweet, gourmand and delicately creamy finish.
Yes, the fragrance is actually quite good. But it just doesn't blow me away. That almost sounds negative, but the Select Night doesn't deserve that.
