Highly Quality Scent

It is an Excellent Fragrance, Masculine, Modern, Unique and Airy. The combination of the spices : Coriander, Star Anise and Black Pepper with Elemi , Thyme and Bergamot in the opening then Incense , Sage and Patchouli in the background , with woody notes in the dry down. This smells so good and very pleasant, perfect for the spring, fall and winter. I really enjoy it and I'm so happy that I have it in my collection. Longevity is very good , This perfume has high quality composition. Highly Recommended.

Fans of the 2001 original version - “Michael” - will enjoy this update as the DNA is still there minus the powerhouse longevity and projection.

The prominent tobacco note is toned down and blended right in the middle of the juice with a dash of spicy pepper, a smooth suede and a mild sweetness from the sandalwood. If you are familiar with the differences between Polo Green and Polo Modern Reserve, this is essentially the same re-composition. Tone down the tobacco and add sueded leather.

Or, if the original is a pint of Guinness with a shot of Jameson, then this one is a chilled Harp Lager. What, you didn’t know Michael Kors was Irish!?

IMO, the Michael Kors men’s line gets a bad rap when in fact the juice is well blended with original compositions compared to other designers offerings. The simple blocky rectangle bottle design and less than creative flanker line (EXTREME!!!) probably don’t help much. Give it a sniff anyway...

Quite okay, but not special enough

"For Men" by Michael Kors reappeared on the market in 2014. It was reformulated, but I can't compare it to the old version which I never tried. This fragrance is quite versatile, men and women could wear it, because it is neither too woody nor too sweet. Btw, the nose behind the scent is Harry Freemont, the perfumer who gave us CK One, the famous unisex scent.
"For Men" starts with star anise, coriander, thyme, bergamot and the gorgeous elemi resin. I wish the elemi would linger on and on, but it doesn't. Instead, there's incense coupled with suede. Excellent choice and a step away from the boring territory of all the generic male designer fragrances. Unfortunately, the fragrance falls flat after one hour, the drydown with artificial sandalwood, the obligatory patchouli and a somehow biting woody note I can't decipher, does not deliver that special feeling the start and the heart promised. Longevity is below average, sillage fine fo the first hour, but then rapidly declining. Not 100% satisfying, but a safe choice for middle-aged gentlemen or ladies. I think the bottle design is utterly boring. Looks like a copy of "Dior Homme".
