If you have no enemies, you have no character. Paul Newman
It seems that most people do not like this fragrance. Supposedly to old school, like a chemist's kit, once 70's scent, once 80's, then still Fougere in the style of jazz.

Here the manufacturer Euroitalia did not make it easy for the mainstream.

For the others, however, it is a revelation.
Exactly this style of fragrance is so self-confident and really very, very successful.
As a supporter of almost all Versace productions or even Moschino with the Forever from the recent past, this is a product that is absolutely top.

No fragrance has such spiciness and freshness as this Missoni. Not quite at perfume level but still very strong at the beginning for the environment.
It is not bad or intrusive in any way, it is simply far away from the artificial sweetness or a sugar scent.
The start with the lime and the grapefruit is extremely good and exceptionally made.
Fougere isn't, more like chypre when you start.
This is followed by a spice load that is quite something.
He reminds me of Casual Friday which was similar in construction, but has been resting in eternal Friday for a long time today.
After the middle Gewürztunnel follows what can be called perhaps a little fougermässig with the oak wood.
But there are still other ingredients missing to describe it as Fougere.
It is also extremely woody and getting better and better.
No fragrance can change as much as this Missoni.
It's either one way or the other. At the push of a button he subscribes to the freshness kick and changes to the spice program and finally to the woody one.
This is of course just as good in warmer temperatures as it is when it is colder.
Probably arrives at the base note faster in warm weather with own respiration than in cold weather.

Nevertheless, for all those who want to afford a fragrance far away from the mainstream, what does this mean?
The price for 100 ml is not expensive at all.

"Man" can carry him.

If you somehow belong to the kind of wimp, then leave your tender fingers of it and insult him with old school, deodorant character or some other bitchy little talk and continue to pluck your eyebrows. Rump your nose and don't forget to apply your metrosexual day cream, but always remember:
This product is for guys only!

What Paul Newman, as a real guy already knew:
If you have no enemies, you have no character like this Missoni.

Unexcited average scent
It was a spontaneous purchase. Initially citric with a bitter note. In the heart note it becomes somewhat herbaceous after my feeling. In the base it loses freshness almost completely and the herbaceous mixes with woody notes. Not a really bad smell but I wouldn't buy it anymore. H+S are fine.

If you are looking for an affordable, masculine and fresh all-rounder, you will find it here
The Missoni is not a BdC clone - even if some claim the opposite. But when you try it, you understand why it is compared to Chanel.
It's more of a slightly flavored fougere version of BdC, but that's not to disparage Missoni - on the contrary, it gives it a more masculine character that can be found in Platinum Egoiste, for example. It is not the fragrance notes per se that resemble BdC, but rather the feeling that Missoni conveys.
Although the quality is nowhere near that of the two Chanels, it still speaks for itself; especially when you consider that you pay less than 30 euros for 100ml.

The Missoni is sporty and fresh but still clean and elegant. Barbershop vibes are definitely recognizable, but they're not really oldschool. I think that Missoni has reinterpreted the barbershop fragrance and translated it into a modern "blue" fragrance.
At first, the fragrance is fresh and somewhat citrusy, but over time it transforms into a woody lavender scent. In addition, a ginger note emerges at some point, which some may find annoying.
The fragrance could perhaps have been a little more rounded and smoother, but this is not really a point of criticism, as the quality is more than top for the price.

You can use the Missoni pretty much any time of year. I personally think that it is one of those fresh fragrances that you can also wear on cold winter days, as it is woody and spicy enough. I would only not recommend it in very high temperatures, as the woody and ginger notes at the end of the fragrance can make it stuffy.

Sillage is okay and the longevity is above average, especially on clothing.

I can only recommend Missoni to those who want a clean, masculine and sporty scent but want to spend very little on it.

Mishmash Pour Homme
I vividly remember when this one was first released because I scooped up 2 samples of it and gave them a go. Well....sort of. It didn't take long for me to realize that, despite it's generic appeal, it bugged me for some reason. It was familiar, but not in the Bleu de Chanel sort of way; it was fruity, but not in the YSL L'homme way; and it was LOUD. Synthetic and LOUD. Couldn't put my finger on it. Needless to say, I literally couldn't make it through the first sample and promptly gave both away, mentally slapping the fragrance with the label "no-go" and that was that.

Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago (years later in fact) when I found a gift set for super cheap and decided to pick it up as a present for a friend. I opened the box (to ensure everything was where it should be), had a sniff and was like, "whoa whoa whoa. THAT is Jeremy Lin for Him." Sure enough, I recognized the scent immediately and simultaneously solved the age-old riddle of what Jeremy Lin (which was released after Missoni PH) strongly reminded me of - something that had been bothering me for years.

Basically, Missoni Pour Homme opens with a cacophany of notes that resembles a synthetic orangey grapefruit, ginger, herbally apple, and lavender. I really don't get a strong citrus presence, but the ginger initally plays this dissonant chord that doesn't exactly jive with the rest of the composition. Or maybe it's the lime? Luckily, it's a fragrance that continues to get smoother and better the longer it stays on skin. In fact, within about 20 minutes, the projection becomes considerably stronger and the lavender starts to take on a quasi-barbershop fougere quality. It didn't take me long to make the connection with the lavender used in Mont Blanc's original Legend edt - hence the mass appeal. And just like that, Jeremy Lin for Him fades into the background, making room for what seems like a whole new scent.

Within the hour, as the herbs become more present, I'm strongly reminded of another fragrance - Armaf's Legesi - a smoother and sweeter rendition of Chanel's Platinum Egoiste. Bingo bango, I suddenly understood what the ginger and herbs were doing - giving the smooth lavender a metallic zing, hence the subtle barbershop vibes. And perhaps even hints of Drakkar Noir here and there? But that's pretty much the way it remains for a solid 9-10 hours - a barbershopy lavender with some zingy-fruity herbally somethings in the background on a base of aromatic musk. Great performance for a modern designer, even in its current formulation; and the bottle design, strong magnetic cap and atomizer - all great.

But all-in-all, it's a bit of a haphazard go at mashing several fragrance styles together to create something rather....well, generic. No question that the lavender gives it a masculine edge, but like I said before, it's doesn't really nail one particular genre. It's a quasi-fruity, quasi-fougere synthetic screamer of a scent, that fits into almost any situation SO well that it nearly evades notice. Don't get me wrong, it's nice enough - nice enough for me to keep the gift set for myself in fact LOL - but it's about as close to a dad scent as you can get. And yes, there' nuthin' wrong with that. Personally, I'll keep my eye out for a deal on Missoni's Wave (which I much prefer), but for now, it's one more in the mass appeal pile. Not at all a BdC edt smell-a-like imo, but pretty much Missoni's take on a daily driver. The bit-of-everything masculine. Mishmash Pour Homme.

Not for me.
It's curious how perfumes can differ depending on the sillage vs smelling it close, and depending on the different person's skin and nose also. It seems to have just moderate performance on my skin, with a bit disappointing smell ( a lot of citruses in the opening to end up drying with a incensy ginger with a bothering touch from a sort of acid sauvage's ambroxan like ) .

My surprise was when I applied just 1 spray to another person and noticed the trail 6 hours later being close to her ( she smelt strong even after 3 hours ) and the scent seemed to be closer to that kind of fresh and synthetic mint reminiscent to Bleu EDT and Allure Extreme EDT ( the vintage one ) .

Different experiences indeed. I expected something different on my skin...

Yes, Bleu de Chanel EDT with a soapy smoothness as opposed to the sharper vetiver/incense. Very good alternative at a much better pricepoint

Similar enough to Bleu De Chanel that many won’t know difference. Atomizer and cap better than Chanel. Redundant but effective alternative.
