Comforter
Milk, a difficult note for me to pick out beyond diffuse roundness, particularly interested me in this scent - and Elemi is one of my favorites. I was curious about vanilla insofar as I find it to be a fiddly, often cheaply made, and therefore widely disliked fragrance note. I appreciate the vanilla in Eau Duelle, in my beloved Santal Carmin, the one in Milk Musk I approached skeptically, as I do most vanillas. Wrongly so.

For me, Milk Musk has a clear baking ingredient assonance in the opening, lush, edible vanilla as in the thick-flowing, full-fat Danish vanilla sauce from the tetrapack. Delicious, safe, like at mama's house. No dark vanilla bean here (there's always something tobacco-y about it for me in real life), but Black Dot vanilla dissolved in milk. A great vanilla, and again quite different from the ones I know from other perfumes, but not my favorite either. (Compared to bspw. Eau des Missions it is here: butterier, less spicy, more familiar and more cozy than elegant.)

The tonka bean represents in the fragrance, as well as in the seasoning with the same, a supporting role for the vanilla, without itself too strongly emerge. This is well done, I think.

The fragrance has gourmand qualities for me, not the biggest gourmand fan, and musk, ambroxan, benzoin only underscore the edible aspect. They move the scent out of the nibbling corner, but only just enough to make it smell perfumey and not cakey. I don't get woody notes here at all (sadly, I love wood), but I can appreciate the liqueuriness I mentioned earlier. The sweetness holds up in my estimation, thankfully.

The bottle matches its contents wonderfully, by the way: the creamy white bob on top, like a snowball, a milk chest, the pom-pom on the winter hat. You read the bottom line: a scent that reminds you of your childhood, a scent of security for the cold season, for falling asleep. For me, a scent to wear in private, at home or maybe under a warm sweater for a comforting walk. Nothing that would equip me for a day at work, nothing that I would wear to go out

Coffee and milk for the Knilch
I love good coffee and I also love the smell of good coffee. But what I love even more is the smell in a good coffee roastery with an attached café, where the self-roasted beans are processed directly and we as end customers are served a wonderful tasting drink. Where a skilled barista practices his passionate craft and conjures up fine crema with coffee and milk and creates images in the foam. These smells are so tempting and pleasant to the nose.
For a long time I have been looking for a suitable fragrance that reproduces this smell and makes it sprayable. However, to date I have not found a suitable scent that both showcases the ripe and roasted beans and combines that dash of pleasant sweetness and milky notes.
Perhaps you have a tip, as Intense Cafe and Cafe Tuberosa were not worth mentioning and many other fragrances are too green to offer me the scent of a roasted coffee.

For the cafe at the roastery I have now at least already found the milk. Because Molton Brown gives us Milk Musk, a scent that smells amazingly real to what the scent is called. A fragrance predestined for gourmand noses, which smells so incredibly strongly of food, as I have rarely experienced. Often one has in dessert-scented fragrances still certain nuances that bring times a twist purely to stand out yet something from the origin. Here this is not the case.

Molton Browns Milk Musk actually smells like wonderful milk mixed with musk. Only notes that also support the overall character of the fragrance are used and nothing is spoiled. As a whole, the construct smells like lukewarm condensed milk, which pours out of the pot almost viscously. Slightly sweetened, really creamy due to the musk and delicate vanilla aromas assault you with reality. It all sounds so unspectacular, but on my skin it was a real explosion of associations. One could get the idea to use the fragrance as a pure scent, because everything sniffs so real.
After a while, a few resins come in or push their way to the fore, which take away some of the reality of the scent. But I suspect that one had to make this compromise to also achieve a corresponding reasonable durability. Cocoa I can not detect in this fragrance, even if others have heard the notes.
The development of the perfume I would also describe as relatively linear. Desired it was certainly that the authentic smell remains as long as possible and is not disturbed by other notes too much. From there you can say boring, if you want a greater scent progression.

Unfortunately, the sillage is a little weak on the chest, as I would have liked a little more intensity for these yet restrained chords. In this way, it is only a fragrance for the wearer and not for the environment. As mentioned, the durability is extended by the resinous notes at the end, however, the greatest spectacle is already over there and you have to bother with the remains of the drying condensed milk.

The barista must therefore no longer use milk, only Molton Brown Milk Musk.

Couch & Cocoa
Mmmh - it's just getting to be summer, and I'm in the mood for hot chocolate and a fire in the fireplace!

I knew neither fragrance nor brand; a dear Perfuma generously let me have it.
Indeed, I smell milk, vanilla, and resinous. Most of all, however, cinnamon, and wonder yet that does not appear in the listing of fragrance notes. But no matter!

I let a little time pass. Milk says goodbye, cinnamon remains. It joins roasted almonds, without becoming too sweet. And - (it annoys me a bit myself to constantly compare, aaaber): I think of "Candy" - only in not so sweet.

It cinnamon so along, until vanilla and benzoin become wider and wider and, very close to the skin, spread winter mood. Stop! It's spring! Off in the closet, we'll see us in December ;)

Is it possible to milk a musk?
Is it possible to milk a musk?
Of course you can!
And what do you get?
Helloooo! Milk Musk!

Milky smooth vanilla, with a divine discreet sourness from the combo benzoin and elemi (I really like those notes), slightly spicy without any overbearing amberish note, extremely relaxing, cuddly and addicting beyond measure..

If you ever find yourself suffering from insomnia, make sure to count lambs who can produce milk musk.. after counting no more than eight, you will fall asleep..

Great duration! 8 plus hours

nostalgic hope
Milk Musk is exactly what it says it is, an uncomplicated creamy, milky musk. It's soft but not so faint it fades into nothing and the vanilla and resins give it a subtle richness, but it's never cloying or powdery. When I was a little girl, I read stories about frightened children who were given warm milk before bedtime. I was always disappointed with the repulsive reality of the stuff, but this lovely scent recalls the nostalgic hope for the dreamy deliciousness of that sleepy, cozy treat.
