A Utt A Mayzhing !!!
Where are they anyway, Mr. Montale's star starmarketers? The ladies and gentlemen who develop concepts to successfully place the product? They are probably working underground. Because no fragrance of the house is more underrated and more misplaced than this one.

This scent should be the actual oudmazing. I must agree with the previous speaker 100%. Why this fragrance is not being totally hyped and instead is currently in the ratings behind Black Aoud and Oudmazing remains a mystery to me today. This fragrance is the epitome of a round, wearable Rose Aoud in its original version. It dispenses with ornamentation and provides a solid Rose Aoud framework, which with the appropriate perfume experience can be expanded and layered to a fruity experience.

He's loud, but not pushy. He starts in a classic Roseoud marnier and neither hairspray nor animalistic synthetic impressions come to the fore. He is bursting with power and compared to Black Aoud he doesn't seem a bit soapy or even boringly one-dimensional.

It has a very high quality effect in all phases and shows a clear development into astringency. Less sweaty than the Attar of the house. Very socially acceptable and at the same time very high quality and noble looking. Towards the base it reminds slightly of Oud for Greatness, but remains generally brighter, more radiant and fruity than this. In the drydown, however, it goes very masculine. Ladies could complement it very well with Oudmazing to strengthen the feminine impression. Men can keep it the other way round. But in principle it doesn't need any layering, because it looks anything but monotonous or even monotonous. A rock solid chord with fine ornaments in the right place.

For me, the fragrance is in no way inferior to a big aoud from the high-end houses, despite its lower complexity. Despite its modesty, it performs magnificently and appears very high quality and noble. This is one of the few in the house that is in no way inferior to a high end aoud.

In the head it reminds strongly of Amber Aoud by Roja Dove and in the back it reminds a little bit of Alexandia 3, but a comparison is only possible very vaguely and roughly, because Aoud Safran is indeed completely fixated on the most necessary. Simply made but in the Sillage very noble and elegant. Very high quality fragrance, but of course less ornate than Amber Aoud or Alexandria 3.

From my point of view the most noble Montale. His name and his inconspicuous appearance in marketing is absolutely incomprehensible.

Even if you do not like the house, you should definitely give this fragrance a chance. It's great.

Yes, actually, aoud saffron is the real oudmazing. For this price an absolute hit!

Regarding portability, it can be said that it can be used as an all-rounder in any case. It is fresh enough for warm days and opulent enough for the winter. It suits men better than women (rating m60/w40), because it projects rather woody and dark in the drydown. A fragrance that leaves a lasting impression both in a suit and in a hooded sweatshirt. A pleasing, wearable rose aoud that doesn't offend anybody and seems very soft despite its volume. Fixateur art @ its best! Synaesthetically, the fragrance smells rather red to dark red.

Together with Oudmazing, Intense So Iris and Sensual Instinct the absolute top of this brand, which is unfortunately somewhat underrated on our continent.

Genius!

Overconfidence
Back then, a good 9 years ago, Aoud Safran was one of the first eau de parfums to explicitly focus on the theme of oud and saffron. Meanwhile the two of them are in every second fragrance that has to do with eagle wood.

But what was fashionable back then is today, to call it careful, "overtried", if not overused. It's like listening to the same short joke or the same simple melody over and over again.

And with Aoud Safran it is just these two main components that are in the foreground. No, not quite, because Rose is still in the trio and will join in later.

From this point on, the fragrance should rather be called Aoud Rose, because what began absolutely noble and woody-warm with absolutely pleasing because unstallic Oud as well as soft saffron, unfortunately becomes more kitschy, more penetrating and slightly annoying by the rose. No, I don't have a problem with the queen of flowers, but the variation that has flowed in here seems to me in this creation like a fad that is long gone - less like a classic that could be carried timelessly through all epochs.

Strangely enough, other ingredients generally do not bother me, even if you have sniffed them a thousand times. I like to bring lemon, patchouli, vanilla, wood or amber into the game. But Oud is somehow exhausted with me. Of course, Aoud Safran can't do anything about that, but the rose was not absolutely necessary here.

Strangely enough, the shelf life and sillage of such fragrances are even more enormous than desired ...

Oudmazing!
[short review]
It's Oudmazing
It's Saffronmazing
It's Rosemazing

This is probably the best wearable Oud fragrance by Montale, at least for my taste. I never tried the real Montale Oudmazing although I have already heard (read) a lot of comments about it. It seems to be just too fruity and sweet for me. I do like a bit of rose and saffron in my oud in the way it is proposed by Aoud Safron. I also like this type of Oriental scent to last forever. The Aoud Safron performance is phenomenal!
As a wearable oud fragrance, this Montale surpasses the two Oud fragrances that I used to have as a reference for Montale's "Aoud" work: Dark Aoud and Black Aoud.
This perfume is strong. It's linear. It's tamed. it's (very) pleasant. It's a head turner. It's addictive. It's a bit dark. It's unisex.
Forget about the intrusive ouds that smell like a bedouin tent camp in the desert. This fragrance smells like a cool oasis under the moonlight.
The eastern part of heaven must smell like the drydown of this perfume. It is Included in the list of the 10 commandments for you to do before your sinus go bananas:

Leathery Saffron
Synthetic leather saffron opening with a woody base. This perfume reminds me of many others out there. The only beauty of it is if you spray it low on your stomach, the wafts of scent are quite pleasant throughout the day. As with all Montales, it lasts and lasts. This is not a true saffron scent, nor do I detect rose in it. Don't smell it up close and it will create a wonderful aura of perfume around you but it is nothing to go out of your way for.

Oil Aoud
Aoud Safran is just okay. Nothing new neither unique. Basically roses, a little of oud and a lot of saffron.

Smells much like as Attar (but less sweet) with average longevity.

Be careful: sometimes it smells like sewing machine oil.

I've always thought of this as 'orthodox' oriental oud.
