Montale / Bakhoor
A unique, twisted and niche WORK.
For me, it is less incense (I rather don't associate it with classic incense, but rather with some smoke ... something burnt, but it is difficult for me to find any associations).
Once upon a time, someone ... I think when describing Dark Aoud (Montale) wrote about railway sleepers, lubricants, a workshop - and for me this is the smell.
Wooden (of various types of wood) railway sleepers, a wooden workshop smelling of grease, wooden blocks under the wheels and chassis, a slightly smoky and veeery dry smell (very well describing the word 'dry' as Zanzibar37 wrote).
To sum up - if you like such fragrances, including Dark Aoud (Montale), Kabul (Montale), Black Tourmaline (Olivier Durbano) - it's worth trying, and whether to have ... it's a personal matter, because it's not a fancy guy.
If I had to compare it to something that is closest in smell, in my opinion: Dark Aoud and Kabul.
A niche with a capital N.
