Narciso Rodriguez

In the fashion world, the 1961-born New York designer of Cuban origin has been known for some time. After working for Calvin Klein, Donna Karan and Cerruti, he started his own business, missing any success for several years. The first major attention he finally gained in 1996, with a wedding dress by Caolyn Bessette-Kennedy. After he was awarded the "Perry Ellis Young Designer Award" two years later, the fashion company, which had been based in Madrid until then, moved to New York.

Rodriguez finally gained a foothold in the fragrance market in 2003, when he launched "For Her" together with Beauté Prestige (Shiseido), a Japanese cosmetics manufacturer. This was then followed by its counterpart "For Him" in 2007. Here, the duo Francis Kurkdijan and Christine Nagel worked together. Since "For Her" brought in a seemingly great success, a limited edition of the line followed in 2014. In 2009, the women's perfume line "Essence" followed.
