Next level fruity floral
Ah yes, one of those fruity florals with a little bit of everything. Not my favorite genre per se, but this release by Neela Vermeire is something else! Where its mainstream congener Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Parfum presents itself in a two-dimensional flat lay, Bombay Bling! comes with jumps, twists, hoops and loops.

The top notes consist of fresh fruits and warm spice. The transition into the heart notes is smooth, but exciting. I find myself wanting to experience the sweet mango and berries a little longer, but soon my attention goes to the playful combination of fresh, creamy and rosey florals. The vanilla, woods and patchouli in the base add a soothing, warm touch. Underneath I sense also a little patchouli, amber and spice.

Those "little bit of everything" fruity-florals tend to be blended into a huge singular accord, basically a big grey slurry. Bombay Bling! is a few levels up; it is very much alive. Each component is in constant motion and does its own thing, while the overall fragrance stays in harmony. A vivid experience, both beautiful and fun.

Mumbai market, Mumbai mumbo jumbo
After application: It smells morning. Market at dawn. Fruits are unpacked. Delicious. Mango and all. Don't smell spoiled, it's still cool in the morning. Why would anyone sell curry sausage here? Curry, yes, but not curry sausage? Is that Berlin? Is that a dream?

After one hour: Warmed up. The fruit is already spoiled. It doesn't go that fast even in India, does it? Is this a dream? That's why they offer flowers here now. Lots of them. Nice. I like it. Maybe I'll buy some and leave them at a temple as an offering
After two hours: The market got really crowded. But the flowers are looking a bit musty again now. For that the spices are back, weren't they already at the beginning... do I go in circles? Is this a dream? Oh no, that was the curry sausage before. And sweets, yummy, here you get sweets. But that they throw their garbage everywhere, rots around. Dead rat, that's disgusting. Good thing they're cleaning it up. The garbage men are on their toes. They're wearing orange. Is that Berlin? BSR? Bombayer Stadtreinigung?

After three hours: Everything gets so weak. So pale. Like it's evaporating. Is this a dream?

I have two Neelas left. So far, the show is not knocking my socks off. All in all for me rather head births; somehow interesting, but not very wearable. And for the price called, all too slender and pastel. All the more so as these are no citric breeze, but rather the ingredients and the character of the series would actually cry out to be performed in stronger tones, more as reality than as a dream world.

Go on spoil yourself!
Really amazing fresh fruity/floral perfume that projects just right as to not to be too loud or too soft. After spraying in the morning I could still detect this corgeous aroma eight hours later, still the same scent throughout. Started off more fruity with the mango being prominent and then settled within 30mins to the most amazing overall fruity floral mix that's perfect for both sexes.

Absolutely gorgeous. It's creamy, spicy, fruity, floral. It doesn't smell like food or like a market, the oriental element is very refined.
