A fragrance with which I can give pleasure :-)
The other day, my sister's colleague at work told her that she really misses New Yorker Woman (2004) because she loved wearing it when she was a teenager. My sister then said that her brother (me in this case) could certainly get hold of the fragrance thanks to his affinity for perfume. Well, now the bottle is here with me. Before it's allowed to move on, I won't miss the opportunity to write a review of the fragrance. The first impression: This is the Libre Eau de Toilette :D Only more synthetic and with a much weaker performance. At 3 to 4 hours, the longevity is already quite lame and the sillage is even weaker. But it's hard to believe that "Libre" was already available at the New Yorker for very little money in 2004.
The top note starts very sweet, lovely, creamy, fruity and floral with aromas of mandarin, neroli and orange blossom. The heart note remains creamy, fruity and sweet with a hint of lavender. The base is still creamy but also vanilla-like with tonka beans and ambergris. I was only unable to detect the citrus notes from the fragrance pyramid.
I think someone will be very happy. The fragrance is really nice, if a little synthetic and weak on the chest.
