Passion de parfum
George Sand was an outstanding woman, a writer of highly esteemed "récits", an intimate friend of Chopin, an independant female mind. The fragrance created by MPeG resp. J.-F. Laporte - as I understand it - is meant to create sensations that reflect the inner radiance a woman emanates when she is truly in love. Since we are talking perfumes here, time has nothing to do with this sensation. It could last only a day or a life-time, we don't need to know. Only the passion of the moment is important and translates into a gorgeous, warm, spicy and utterly heart-warming fragrance of high quality.
Laporte captured this feeling of passion, this "frisson", in a mysterious accord of Turkish rose, patchouli, ambregris and Grasse jasmine which enhance the warm intensity of musk and sandelwood in the drydown. This perfume is of a rare and enchanting sensuality, voluptuous and grand.
