Where is the party?
Do you know Jil Sander No. 4? Or the new Ivoire? Or Bottega Veneta? Or Zen?
And do you like these fragrances? I love them. And they were all created by Michel Almairac, so "they" say. "They" = the industry. That's why I thought "Beach Party for her" couldn't be a bummer. I thought that a perfume created by the great Almairac would at least be okay, and since I considered the bottle which houses "Beach Party For Her" very original and the pyramide rather tempting, I ordered the stuff without testing. Well. I really doubt that this juice is Almairac's work. If it is, it epitomizes the lowest point of his career. Plus, the fragrance doesn't even smell of anything remotely connected to the beach or the sea and it's no party fragrance either. What you get is a muddled, wan little artificial ambregris coupled with synthetic tonka bean. Disappointing and generic, a failed woody oriental. I should have stayed away from that one, cher Michel.
