Dance of the air
In the next few days, spring is to hand over its seasonal reign to summer; the age-old rhythm.
The fertile web for May and June has been woven, now it won't be long before summer takes over. A little shy at first perhaps, that's normal.
Unless some young thing comes along again, throwing all its treasures at once with force and having no patience for the beauty of creation.
For this reason, too, Spring wants to say goodbye to his work in peace. As he does every year, he climbs one of the hills, where he can enjoy the view over the carpet of colors he has painted with generous sweeps over the past weeks:
The ups and downs of the hills in the most varied shades of green, here and there still transparent patches in between; here it will probably take a little longer before more than a delicate veil of leaves shows itself.
But - what joy - in the midst of the green here and there already bright spots: the tree blossom has already begun: Linden and robinia want to show that they are awake!
The view goes over meadows, in the first beautiful spring green, in which the light wind draws delicate patterns, touches the fruit trees that are preparing for their wedding and caresses tenderly the gardens lying peacefully in the sunlight.
These early summer, somewhat rustic gardens, you can see the love of life in them.
Spring is happy when he sees all that he will leave behind, and so he sits on his hill and sings.
Sings for joy at this beautiful season, even though he knows that with all the noise that people surround themselves with, hardly anyone will hear him.
And yet joy makes him sing, and hope that perhaps some sound or other will reach his ears.
Thus singing (probably only to himself) he descends the hill, crosses fresh green spicy fragrant meadows and pays a visit to his favorite garden.

Here spring saunters light-footedly about, greeting lovingly the magnolias that each year so boldly stretch their porcelain-like white and pink tulip blossoms into the still cool air, welcoming new life with their delicate fragrance: they deserve a special embrace!

The colorful freesias in their leafy nests also unfurl their blooms and fragrance; how intoxicating they can be in bouquets, filling and brightening many a still dreary room with their aromas.
So do the little violets; friendly and harmless they sit in their rosettes of leaves, but their fragrances dress every woman in spring. This makes them proud, and they immediately stretch out a little more towards the sun and the caressing hand of spring.
Fine, yet already quite persistent rose aroma moves through the air and so a feminine triad, interspersed with lightly knotted colorful ribbons of fragrances.
The shed cobbled together from an old cupboard (where can you find rosewood nowadays?) at the end of the garden is richly entwined with jasmine and honeysuckle.
The old vines are already wearing their first dress of leaves, the new ones are still shyly taking their place, striving towards the light.
And how they are already fragrant under the warmth of the sun!
Of course they are in competition: the white jasmine, filling many an area, already not known for its shyness, and the honey-scented flowers of the honeysuckle.
But also the aromatic woody note of the shed brings in. Why should he not play in the fragrance round?
Busy bumblebees, staggering comfortably along, come to visit. Their buzz becomes a contented hum: there's something to be had here.
The butterflies know this, too, and drop in happily butterflies, stopping here and there at a blossom for a little break, sipping a bit of nectar as they go.

Happy and satisfied with his handiwork, Spring decides to take a vial of this fine, early summer garden fragrance with him on his journey.

I wonder if he will find an empty vial among the many colorful veils richly embroidered with blossoms?
Here is one, but - oh, it still contains a small residue of patchouli; I wonder where it came from?
Earthy sensual spice emerges from this dregs, so spring, so eager to capture this glorious garden aroma, decides to go for it:
He coaxes the profusion of floral scents, underpinned by the woody nuance, into the glass jar and then seals it.
It is done! This garden in its splendor will be with him not only in thought.
And so, with a clear conscience, he can pass the baton to summer and journey on.

The house of Nina Ricci has created here after the still so popular "L'Air du Temps" a second very feminine floral fragrance, which deserves the name "L'Air" and may inhabit as a younger sister of an equally pretty Flacon.
"L'Air" is less elegant, but more buoyant and absolutely enchanting.
Gracefully nestles this cheerful fragrance creature, floats around its wearer lovely and uncomplicated, spends with her some beautiful hours, but becomes more delicate and even more transparent.

Nina Ricci's "L'Air" dances cheerfully and light-footedly through the air!
And that's fine; after all, Oscar Wilde already wrote:
"It is sweet to dance to violins
When Love and Life are Fair
To dance to flutes, to dance to lutes
Is delicate and rare
But it is not sweet with nimble feet
To dance upon the air!"

Well, there is no such danger with "L'Air"; this fragrance is dancing air!

L'Air de Nina Ricci
This isn't terrible, it just doesn't suit me it seems. I don't know why but for some reason this scent reminds me of pickles?! Yes, pickles!!! Dill pickle potato chips to be exact. There is a note in this fragrance that is odd to my nose or maybe it's the mixture of all the notes together, I don't know, but it just seems to irritate me. The bottle is very pretty but that's the only thing about this perfume that I really like. Still, it's worth testing out for those of you that are interested, but for me, it just doesn't work with my skin chemistry.
