Good inoffensive citrus & white floral

Colognise is a wonderful fragrance from Nishane, thought it has a simplicity that goes with being citrus and white floral. I couldn't see much development in the accords, but it is not a negative. The citrus and white floral notes are very vivid in the opening and continue for a few hours. The white floral accords come from jasmine and lily of the valley. I don't smell much vetiver in the opening or in the dry down. I wish perfumers and sites like Perfumo would use a pie chart to indicate how dominant a note is.

I would rate Colognise as a good, all-purpose inoffensive citrus white-floral. It is wonderful but not an iconic perfume. Not a head-turner, but maybe that is a good quality. It will work fine in office settings. There is nothing mysterious here, and there is no evolution of accords.

You may get a similar perfume at a lower cost. Nishane is not a cheap brand, though Jomashop has good deals frequently. I got a 3.4 oz bottle for $69.

Clean and green then turns out spicy

Colognisé starts with a fresh whiff of green tea, a note I truly adore, accompanied by bright jasmine and uplifting zesty citruses. It's not something that has never been done before, but I did like the overall accord at the beginning and I wished it had stayed longer. After awhile, there's a powdery grapefruit that jumps in, turning the perfume into a clean, soapy scent with an undertone of citruses. It stays light and fresh, but with an added tinge of green coming in from the white florals. The green accord becomes stronger on my skin as time passes while citruses fade away gently. I thought the dry down was going to be a warm and green floral scent, but unexpectedly, vetiver started to grow stronger. It became so strong that it crushed the floral note underneath it. The drydown became this solid block of spicy green with a hint of citruses and the shadows of the florals that once were. If the beginning, with its freshness and white florals, leaned feminine to me, the drydown leans quite masculine, like a men’s spicy cologne. I’m a bit turned off by the drydown, I’ll have to admit, which is one of the reason I won’t be buying another bottle when I finish this one.

Overall it's not bad, but for the price it ain't it. I was fortunate to get it during Boxing Day at 75$ off with an added discount of 15%, but even with the bottle in my collection now, I don't think I'll be buying another one when I finish the bottle. I find the sillage and longevity quite weak for something so expensive and I have other perfumes in my collection that have better performance than this one. I'll probably be using it during summer when I want to smell fresh and clean, but as soon as it's done, it'll be quietly exiting my collection.

Weirdly not a freshie, but lovely and sweet

This is lovely. I don’t think of it as a freshie, despite the citrus; to me it’s more of a pretty floral. There’s a sweet delicate jasmine and a little neroli in the drydown. I don’t really get much lily of the valley at all, but the base is nicely rounded out and warmed with some musk and vetiver. Really pretty and pleasant.

Blossom white citrus full

On paper: bitter. On the skin: Intense citrus note of bergamot and lemon or citronate of very dense texture. In the heart, the tangy citrus note sits firmly in the saddle with a little floral sweetness over it and self-evident vital freshness.
Some musk then, with a little wood, supports, and so results in a gentle and barely noticeable white-floral really remarkably long lasting. Floral white citrus lush, glistening and dense. A little more inclined to the maculine, but who cares?
