Nefs - Roxelane Alexandra la Rossa's fragrance for the act of love
Nefs, translated "the soul", in the mortal body, a subtle but also physical part of the human being. Nefs is also a cognate of the Hebrew word for nefesh, which actually means "breath".

Nefs in my imagination is the scent of Roxelane Alexandra la Rossa aka Hürrem Sultan (wife of Suleyman the Magnificent and also the most powerful and influential woman in the Orient), which she wears every Thursday evening (she was entitled to have sex with him once a week as "Haseki", the most important woman) in his bedchamber in order to confess her love to him again and seduce him.
She wears her purple gold-trimmed dress and nefs with her fiery red hair. Suleyman falls in love with her again every night. She comes to the Topkapi palace as a slave and within a few years becomes his official wife - unusual among sultans, as there are so many women in the harem. With her comes a new turning point. He publishes poems for her under a pseudonym, in which he expresses his passionate longing:
"I am no longer myself, I serve you blindly. A single curl of your hair makes my heart sing. My love, I am sick and my healing extract - that is you!" (translated by Maria Aronov).
Roxelane dies in his arms after years and confesses her love to him again shortly before her last breath:

"I am Roxelane Hürrem, I am the soul of all women and my entire existence is hidden in the love of the ruler of my heart."

Back to the fragrance:

In my opinion, this fragrance is a masterpiece from the house of Nishane, which attracts attention with its presentation, its fragrance notes and above all its price and contains many fragrance notes.

The fragrance enchants with its sweet, woody, balsamic, oriental notes, partly fruity, whereby saffron with honey in combination with rose and oud comes to the fore, and cinnamon and vanilla and amber give it a certain warmth and sweetness. The leather and the Wishky lend the whole a special richness.

Nefs is not a typical oriental fragrance, but I think it claims to combine the oriental with modern elements. It is very luxurious and gives the wearer a powerful sense of grandeur.
Nefs Durability and sillage are top, there is nothing to complain about. With Nefs you have an opulent appearance, you smell exclusive, expensive, of wealth, power and strength.
... and Roxelane represents the soul of all women with Nefs.

A fragrance - that beguiles the senses and touches the SOUL - a work of art & my signature!!!
The Nefs fragrance journey begins like a gentle whisper, a hint of mystery that initially irritates the senses, only to become an epic symphony of fragrances that touches the SOUL. The name undoubtedly says it all! But what do I mean by that?
(Nefs >> translated from Turkish >> soul)

Rated a 10 out of 10, for me this is the epitome of perfection.
The opening is like a breath of magic that fills the air - you have never smelled anything like it before. The sweet notes of honey and fig mingle with the warm saffron and give the fragrance an unmistakable elegance. A very harmonious symphony of different aromas.
But.... it is just the beginning of a journey full of surprises...

After just a few minutes, Nefs unfolds into an opulent bouquet of roses, oud and whisky. No, not typical "rose/oud"... The composition of floral, spicy and woody notes gives the fragrance a fascinating depth, complexity and uniqueness. The oud and whiskey notes in particular lend the fragrance a fascinating "dirtiness" that is perfectly balanced. And no, no animalism, everything feels very finely tuned.

The true splendor is revealed in the drydown and is simply irresistible from here on. A perfectly balanced sweetness that plays with floral notes and a hint of wood and amber. The dry, woody finish is like the climax of an epic drama, with nuances of rose, osmanthus and a subtle whiskey note combining to create a breathtaking crescendo.
For me, a perfection that leaves you speechless and makes you love this fragrance again and again. For this reason - Nefs - is also MY SIGNATURE FRAGRANCE.

Fun fact: When I have "nothing to do / go into myself / meditate / ", I like to pick up the bottle and sniff the spray for a few minutes. The addiction factor is pre-programmed here.

one spray is enough and Nefs accompanies you for several days (on your clothes), definitely BEASTMODE.
Every person around me who notices this fragrance on me (and you are 100% noticed) immediately wants to know which fragrance it is and tries to get a bottle for themselves as quickly as possible - a real compliment catcher.

The bottle and packaging are also works of art in their own right. The elegant case, adorned with suede, encases the sturdy / high-quality bottle, which is embedded in an artistic grid, truly a luxurious experience from start to finish.

In conclusion, I can confidently say from my personal "wealth of experience" as a fragrance lover that I have explored a multitude of fragrances but amongst all the fragrances in the high price segment, Nefs - in my opinion - stands out as an outstanding example of quality. It's hard to put into words if you/you as a reader don't have this one in front of you but when I say you can feel the quality of this fragrance, it only does so much justice. It is a standard that must be reached first, a benchmark for luxury against which others (niche houses) must be measured.
Sure, it's normal that some work with clearly synthetic notes that are quickly recognizable and score points for their price/performance ratio, e.g. Montale. Some perfume houses seem to place more emphasis on quantity than quality, while others take the approach of simply packing in more and better ingredients but charging a higher price, such as Roja or Xerjoff. In the end, the criteria mentioned can be clearly perceived at the end of the day/scent journey - at least for a trained nose...

Well, beyond the "natural vs. synthetic ingredients" debate, I would like to emphasize the following again: The price may be high for sure, but Nefs is certainly worth every single penny. And if you don't want to/can't pay €550.00, which is of course understandable, my advice is to try it at the souk, but maybe order a sample and test it first.
Anyone who wears Nefs is not just wearing a fragrance, but a statement of style and class.
And the very best thing is that the fragrance is 100% unisex!

An absolute masterpiece!!!
It was during a vacation in Italy where I once again got lost in a perfumery. I tested a few fragrances, many new ones that I didn't know yet and there were some really beautiful works of art... but suddenly I stopped at this one shelf and this name Nishane jumped out at me and I knew, wait a minute, you've been wanting to try this one fragrance for ages, the Nefs.

I took a test strip, sprayed the fragrance and was in seventh heaven. Never in my life have I ever smelled such a scent, it was a mixture of rosy notes, fig and honey but also oud, leather and wood were represented... this diversity... i was in love... I sprayed it on my wrist again and couldn't stop smelling it all day. Even the next morning, my nose was still on my wrist...

A few days passed and the test strip which I also took with me was lying next to my bed on my bedside table. Every time I walked past it, I noticed the scent and was thrilled every time...
I am now really proud and happy that the Nefs has enriched my collection. I wouldn't want to be without it...

It's my absolute favorite!!! H/S brutal.

As you can read in the title... truly an absolute masterpiece.

Simply WOW!
I do not want to write a poetic text as one or the other here, but give my honest opinion of the fragrance. This is one of the best fragrances I have in my collection. This fragrance brings a lot of compliments and lasts extremely long. The quality is simply outstanding but the price is high. The scent direction is yes already given and who likes oriental and sweet scents, this is just right. Here everything is perfectly dosed. Not too sweet and the honey, saffron and fig bring the mild note with pure. Simply Fantastic!

9.0.? Not me
Yesterday it arrived, the most expensive tester I had ever ordered. Pretty much everyone in the YouTube videos had advised against buying it because the fragrance is far too expensive for what it is, and I agree with that 100%. It's a rose, the scent gets a bit more masculine after an hour but nothing that will knock anyone's socks off. I thought about buying this fragrance blind because I found the bottle super interesting and chic but luckily I didn't. I can't really describe NEFS, but that's not a bad thing as it really has nothing to attract anyone out there. Initially very feminine it just develops into annoying. I'm constantly smelling my arm, not because of the extraordinary scent, no, it's more the hope that something good will happen. But unfortunately not. The sillage is absolutely average and the durability is not worth the money. No purchase recommendation from me. I don't know where the fragrance could fit, for any occasion, neither in summer nor in winter. The Nishane Nefs would be in my closet because there is simply no reason for this fragrance and the ratings on Parfumo really surprise me, but since the Alexandria II test, nothing should surprise me anymore.

Polarizing. This perfume created a clear diversity of opinions, which either A) emphasize its excellence, or B) call it overpriced. Awesome

Take a chill pill! It’s a good spicy oud smell which sweetens with time but way too overpriced for that. I Better buy 2 Ani.
