Trully vetiver
It is a beautiful vetiver perfume, very vintage style in the sense that it is rather dry, masculine, at times earthy and smoky, but it maintains a refreshing character. Flowers, spices and citrus fruits help to give "movement" to what would otherwise be a sort of "solinota" scent to vetiver; but by this I mean that it is the vetiver that reigns supreme, the perfume itself evolves a lot and the different varieties of vetiver used are quite distinguishable in the course of the fragrance's life on the skin. In any case, having also used essential oils of vetiver, I can say that here it is clear that they used not a little raw material and of excellent quality (not that it is a problem, since it costs quite little already in purity). Strangely, it is a perfume that is not very appreciated and I don't understand why. Masculine, dry, refreshing, rather versatile unlike some similar ones (see Incident Diplomatique, much less versatile for me). Ultimately .... very nice, promoted!

The 'Sultan'
This was my first vetiver fragrance and I must say that I love it. From the very first seconds you are hit with a blast of vetiver mixed with a bit of citrus. The opening is sparkly, it seems to be a similar thing Nishane does with most of their fresher fragrances. The dry down is really beautiful, with the leather coming in and mixing with neroli. The vetiver in this evolves and you are able to see different facets of it as the fragrance develops. This smells like spring to me. Smells like Easter. I used to wear leather fancy shoes to church and when I would open the shoes cabinet this smell of musty leather would come in. Very nostalgic fragrance with stellar performance and projection, 12+ hours.

Masterclass
I will start my review with this... Waaw , what a masterpiece... Class, well-crafted, gorgeous

If this sultan was an atlete hé would have been Usain bolt.
If this sultan was a boxer, hé would have been Mohamed Ali.
If this sultan was a basketballplayer, hé would have been Michael Jordan.

And if Maradona would have sniffed this stuff instead of the white powder, then people wouldn't even argue about who would be the best soccer player ever...

This of art starts pungent, green, little bit of earthyness.... It projects immediately...
You don't need to sniff this from the back of you hand to smell... This penetrates the nose... Like a bankrobber... No nice knocking on a the door.
After 30 min it starts to transition into a more soapy-feeling and fuller vetiver... Must be by the neroli, and the Bourbon vetiver.
It becomes less pungent and more rounded.
And this without losing any of its character, its class. This takes serveral hours (didn't time it)...

And then the final transition... This is even more .... Hmmmm.

Nice vetiver, with nice leather accord, and touch of amber that gives it a warm, cosy, creamy twist.
Sometimes I get also some hints of smokeyness...
The leather is not comparable to the leather as in Tom Ford tuscan, ombre leather or Louis Vuitton ombre nomade...
But more as in Hermes cuir d'ange, soft and nice smelling
Pure masterclass...

Use with caption...

I use 3 sprays and it filled the room...
I applied 18pm and 8 am it is still very detectable and present...

In the category of vetiver perfumes the winner is nishane sultan vetiver
With the worden of Tina Turner: you are simply the best, better than all the rest...

What? Tom Ford Grey vetiver
What? Terre d'hermes
What? Erminigildo Zegna wisdom
They are not even on the finish photo

That's something else!
Yesterday, a colleague has picked me up with his car.
The first thing he says when he gets in: "How cool what is that for a fragrance I have never smelled, smells mega good, very unique For me, it smells like a Turkish hamam bath, very nice orentalisch.
The vetiver does the best job for a super nice feel-good scent.
Gets lately more and more attention from me and I personally like from time to time better.
Vorallem now where it is cooler highly recommended.

Childhood Memory
The typical 1980's tea room smell!!! Whenever I ran to my dad in the tea room to get me a gusset it smelled like stale cigarette smoke rose water and something I could not define until recently.... Now I know, or think I know, Vetiver!!! ...I love this scent... it brings back many fond memories for me ...

Hate it, or love it
You either love vetiver or you hate it... A between thing there is not. I am now not necessarily the biggest fan but I personally like it quite well. The prelude begins very citrusy, bubbly, greenish with neroli. After a short time the citrusy part fades and it becomes slightly woody green, this typical earthy musty vetiver smell comes in and stays there until the last second. The fragrance is not something for the younger audience about ü25 and a perfume for warm days. The performance is not bad. It gives you very much the feeling that the fragrance smells natural.

Vetiver & more...
Beautiful création here using different kinds of Vetiver. I find it bit animalic at the beginning. Propably the best impression on Vetiver but not for everyone.
Sample first or play safe on TF grey Vetiver or Guerlain’s artwork on Vetiver.

Sparkling vetiver in cool and warm
Blue-green-brown iridescent kaleidoscope of vetiver tones in cool and warm. An alternation of oriental warmth and Indonesian freshness of vetiver. Reminiscent of Vetiver Oriental by Serge Lutens, but in more vibrant and agitated. The levels merge into each other and mix as in a lava lamp.

This vetiver fragrance presents itself more splendid than the Vetiver Oriental of Lutens, resting in its velvety depth. Its sparkle invites you to dream like the lava projector's oscillation between heaven and earth in the clubs of yesteryear. The music gets louder.

Conquest by the Sultan
Anticipated : I am not a fan of vetiver.
Earthy, green notes I find interesting in others, but smell myself in a vetiver coat ? Never ever..

I wanted to try something that wasn't my typical taste, just to bring some new colors into my collection. About the house Nishane I had already read a lot and tested to date also the firecracker "Hacivat". This time, however, it should be something completely different and possibly also a fragrance that here and there times "aneckt" and not directly everyone likes...

No sooner said than done - Sultan Vetiver was ordered.

Packaging :

Very good. Exactly what you expect from a niche house. Because as is known, the eye always eats with and exactly so it is also in this case. Super qualitative, super beautiful and simply high quality.
In addition, the "new" curved lids of the brand are a feast for the eyes and can be seen.

Fragrance :

It starts off very spicy and is quite dense at the beginning.
Vetiver is really from head to base always present is at the beginning but not so gentle but rather aggressive for my sensation.
But that lays down relatively quickly and there is a pleasant green, grassy fragrance almost reminiscent of a walk through fields or a forest. He also becomes increasingly gentle without losing power.
Even if he is for me rather a fragrance for spring or summer, he is very variable and can certainly find appeal in the dark season.

Performance:

For min 5 hrs Beastmode.
Even after several hours I smelled him clearly in the fresh air and I do not have the most sensitive nose. For the time the sillage is really super good..
After that, it flattens out a bit. For people who are right next to you, however, it remains perceptible. Here also the density of an Extrait's comes to the fore as I find.
I could smell him really still 4-5 days later on my sweater... So in Puncto durability really maximum.

Conclusion:
To come back to my title, the "Sultan Vetiver" has definitely conquered my heart..!
I think not everyone can do something with it, from therefore I advise against a blind purchase. I can unfortunately not understand why he is still so "unknown", although but fragrances like "Encre Noir" (which is also a vetiver fragrance and I did not like at all) can be seen everywhere. There are really worlds zwsichen.. The quality and also the Duftverlauft prove this..

I look forward to warmer weather, where I will wear it to T-shirt&Sunglasses....
On that note, stay safe and sound :)

Best regards

Similar to Guerlain Vetiver
If you can't justify it's price tag, go for guerlain vetvier
To my nose, guerlain's with the tobacco note is not as realistic of a vetiver as this

Scentwise, I adore this. This really smells extremely beautiful. The neroli makes the vetiver smell so delicate. I can see why this is marked unisex as it's wearable for women IMO.

I love it!.
If you are a true vetiver fan and want no excessive decorations (eg. stuff like TDH is disrupting the vetiver quite a bit) Please go for this!

Rich, spicy vetiver with a medicine like tone. Dry down is more green in a vetiver bomb. Good performance.

Deep, rich, classy vetiver. Heart notes are sweet and floral, which makes it more suitable for women, despite its strength. Wonderful.

Finely tuned bittersweet combo of a huge, moist vetiver note and (what smells like) incense smoke. Quite possibly worth its price.

Medicinal vetiver smelling more like those hyperpriced fake ouds than a real rooty vetiver.
