Credo - you sick thing!

What a strong fragrance that is! I don't want to beat about the bush here and just blurt out what I think:

As a long-time Tom Ford Oud Wood wearer, you will of course quickly recognize the parallels here. A very wearable oud fragrance, not a bit smelly or intrusive. The fragrance is perfectly balanced. Compared to OW, it is definitely a little more potent, which is possibly due to the leather. The pepper fades relatively quickly, followed by the woody notes, which become increasingly creamy over time. And I don't have to say much about the performance. It's Nishane, which means we're in the extrait range here. The fragrance remains extremely stable throughout the day. So you get the more powerful, darker, more masculine and more interesting Oud Wood for less money. A complete no-brainer for me.

A fragrance that you can actually wear all the time (apart from midsummer) - no matter what time of day, no matter what the occasion. A fragrance that is actually always well received and also (if it's important to you) attracts compliments.
Nishane still gets far too little attention for me anyway. The house brings out fragrances in the absolute top segment, brutal quality at absolutely fair prices. So if you still haven't ventured into this area, you should definitely do so.

Tom Ford Oud Wood in a niche guise and better: louder, more performant and more coherent!

There are many Oud Wood Eau de Parfum fans and yes, the old batches were really wonderful. The current batches have unfortunately been completely watered down and, given the P/L, are no longer an option for me. In view of this, I naturally tried to find out which fragrances go in a similar direction and simply deliver in terms of performance.

To my surprise, I came across the niche house Nishane, which I actually knew from the bestsellers such as Hacivat, Ani Extrait de Parfum etc. The Timecapsule collection with fragrances such as Kredo , Tero etc. was actually unknown to me until then; but hey, there are some really brilliant fragrances hiding there!
One of them is Kredo, which surprisingly takes an extremely similar direction to Oud Wood Eau de Parfum but does some things far better than its older brother! What do I mean by that?

- The Kredo opens for me with a good cardamom wave enriched with a certain, niche peppiness. You get the oud wood vibes directly, but for my nose in a nischier and better way!

- In the drydown, a leathery, light oud note joins in, which smells absolutely not animalic, but rather woody-chalky; similar to Oud Wood Eau de Parfum

- The performance is really in the upper range and creates a good sillage and durability of several hours, in my opinion really more than good!
- The price compared to Oud Wood Eau de Parfum is of course good considering the performance, you need less yes, but the fragrance is unfortunately rather expensive. But hey, you get a great fragrance for it!
Overall, I have absolutely no regrets about buying this fragrance and don't regret a single franc I spent on it. Definitely recommendable, but definitely try it out before committing to a full bottle.

Similar to TF- Oud Wood & Thameen Carved Oud

One of the best quality oud and cardamom perfumes I've ever smelled. This combination reminds me of Tom Ford Oud Wood. And of course this smells better quality in my opinion. The oud was used very lightly, as if cardamom was added to small pieces of wood that burned crispy. It gets soft and creamy towards the end. If you like oud wood, it will be a great accompaniment to your cold days. Well done Nishane ! It last 6-8 hours with good projection. Silage is 2-3 feet which is not bad for this type of fragrance. I would definitely suggest to try this fragrance.

Great masculine scent

I always wanted an oud wood like scent (a bit better quality than oud noir which I own and really enjoy) but can't afford the TF and have concerns about it'd longevity. I was going to buy carved oud, but again was concerned about the longevity. I ended up deciding for this as it was the less pricy option for a 100ml bottle and it had excellent reviews. I've also been impressed with nishane offerings in the past (Own and love hacivat and have sampled a few others). I have to say this is exactly what I was looking for. It's perfectly blended and has very good longevity. It's gets compliments too, On the first day I wore it I received a compliment from a co worker about 4hrs in asking what I was wearing and demanding I tell her what it is so she can buy it for her boyfriend. I wore it a few days later and also had someone ask me what I was wearing, this time a guy.

The Phoenix DNA

I remember when TF Oud Wood became one of the top fragrances of the house, taking the market by a gigantic storm. As nature dictates, it was followed by a golden age and finally a decline. We are living in this age right now, when Oud Wood is only the shadow of its former self.

Then through the houses of Thameen and now Nishane, the Phoenix is reborn.
While Carved Oud and FdB Oud Noire approaches the dna from certain high end angle with a definite intention of reinvention and amplification, Nishane further refines the formula.

For me personally CO and ON are a lot more animalic, a lot wilder beasts. The oud is raging in the formula, while in Kredo the notes are perfectly and consistently balanced throughout the wearing. All the rough edges of OW are refined, smoothened out, the original top heavy formula is now given a mind-blowing robust, gentle, leathery base. Just a beautiful harmony accompanied by great performance.

I hope Kredo will receive all the fame it deserves. If this juice was poured into TF bottles, it would conquer the world again.
