Beautiful saffron praline with flowers
No review of this fragrance yet? I'm surprised. Also this rather mediocre rating for a niche fragrance. A bit disappointing, especially when you consider the earlier hyped fragrances from this brand. Overall, this brand has lost some of its hype and the more recent releases have rather flopped. I haven't tested the newer releases, but fortunately I have tested this one because I think it's damn good. A sample was included with an order and it was love at first sniff. Not for me, but on a lady. Even though it is declared unisex and can also be worn by self-confident men: This fragrance reminds me too much of Libre Eau de Parfum Intense by YSL. I find it difficult when a man smells like a women's bestseller. Even if there are some masculine approaches here.
Nishane and Anne Flipo? Rather a very unusual combo. Anne Flipo's creations are already quite mainstream and she also created the entire Libre range. Nishane's releases were rather classy, classic and less mainstream. With this Tempfluo, you get a very mainstream DNA, but with a very high-quality finish. The RRP's are therefore rather exaggerated. for example, 100ml regularly costs over 300€. However, you can get the 50ml for around €120 and the 100ml for around €170, which is relatively fair.
As this is declared as unisex, I wondered for a long time whether it would suit me. But I came to the conclusion that I find it much better on women. With saffron and cedar wood, some unisex notes are also present, but this Libre-like DNA also remains, which is very present, especially in the first few hours. The praline and jasmine also give you some good girl vibes. Spicy saffron makes this a little more unisex, but I still decided to leave this one for the ladies.
In my opinion, the most beautiful thing about this fragrance is this great top note: sweet praline surrounded by soft sensual flowers. Orange blossom and jasmine can clearly be smelled here and anyone who likes these notes should try this fragrance. Especially if you like these mainstream DNA's. Here you also get a great saffron spice that doesn't push itself too much into the foreground as in BR540 or Oud for Greatness, for example. The floral sweetness is in the foreground in the first half of the fragrance. In the second part of the fragrance, the scent relaxes and tends towards a woody sweetness. Pleasant cashmere wood with great cedar wood, plus a sweetness that is not too sticky. Sensual, gentle and somewhat restrained compared to the top note. But all in all, a fragrance that flashed and convinced me.
Performance is quite good, as you would expect from this type of fragrance. Longevity is in the double digits, but with good sillage in the first 3-4 hours. After that, it is still perceptible close to the skin. Sufficient and never too much.
All in all, for me a great fragrance for women and also for self-confident men. Anyone who likes the Libre DNA should give it a try.
