One of the new scents by Nobile 1942 has the sounding name "Café Chantant". One would assume that it would be quite turbulent in a 'singing coffeehouse'. But the scent comes acrosse quite calm. It reminded me directly of "Vanille" by Réminiscence when I first put it on and even after the second test I have no doubt about it. On me they turn out exactly the same. So, "Café Chantant" is a soft and gentle vanilla scent as well, bringing out the best of the pod. Here the vanilla aspects are in front too, a bit powdery through floral elements of heliotrop and creamy musk, refined by a minimal trace of star anise. Nothing more left to say. The scent is equal to "Vanille" in all points, but if you own one of them, it's somehow not really necessary to own the other. Too bad that the sour cherry doesn't give the scent a fruity topping, that would have been a nice accent. I can still see a certain association with french cafés. Just watch the music video for Taylor Swifts "Begin Again". That's Café Chantant.
