Review of the vintage version: "Tête-à-tête" starts with high-pitched notes of mandarin and green galbanum, but once these settle it becomes a quiet flowery perfume with flashes of carnation, rose, ylang-ylang and jasmine. This classic Russian fragrance does not upset traditions with its ladylike performance, it is not showy or confronting, but softly floral. The drydown with amber and tree moss shows an "Eastern" influence, as do the oriental notes of vanilla and patchouli. "Tête-à-tête" is blended with artistry and it's very sad that Novaya Zarya's latest products can't compete with this vintage gem.
