The most masculine tuberose (?)
Nose is a Russian label and only by chance I have learned of a completely different fragrance from this house, Lumberman namely. That appealed to me because of the ingredients but convinced me in the end then not completely. I tested my way through the other fragrances of the label and got stuck on Day Off. A tuberose fragrance. Which I have learned to appreciate at least since Tropic of Capricorn, which was too garish for me to buy. So what does Day Off have to offer here and is it "a tuberose wearable for men"? Of course, in the end, everyone must know for themselves but I answer the question with yes.
First, an elegant but dimmed tuberose breaks through. The usual scent of tuberose is present, but is captured by the gentle, rather bright incense so that in the end a spicy, enhanced by the pepper and creamy tuberose comes out. This sounds totally banal, but it is not because there are countless fragrances of this kind, which are not wearable as an average man with average olfactory taste.
Of course, the sublime cedar with its spicy-warm element also contributes. The cedar is not superficially noticeable but its influence is to be noticed at the relatively decent tuberose, more precisely at the dignified elegance. Before you can get successively deeper here, Day Off captivates with an increased level of spice and smoke as it progresses. This has the consequence that the fragrance is more varied, for me a further piece more wearable.
So now we remain with tuberose without any hedonistic cheerfulness but businesslike-elegant, simple and its beauty only for inclined audience to show. One cannot help but express appreciation. However, nothing more will happen, Day Off has achieved everything that could be achieved within an hour. All this takes place on the basis of not too cool but rather spicy oak moss. Very successful.
My conclusion: if I had to buy a tuberose fragrance, it would probably be this one. But since I do not have to, that will not take place because as much as I appreciate Day Off, so well I know that even the most masculine tuberose for me is nothing for everyday life. But who can wear that, should test here once because so creamy and refined used I have rarely seen the protagonist.
