A pleasant and youthful fruity floral
I am neither over the moon nor disappointed after smelling Rock Angel and wearing it over two consecutive days. Pleasant, sums this fragrance up nicely.
Oriflame Rock Angel is a fruity floral fragrance, well-blended in order to resemble the scent of a refreshingly fruity and clean shampoo. I don't mind smelling fresh and clean every now and then, so I didn't mind this rather linear composition.
Oriflame is a brand that is rather foreign to me, as it is not sold in my country, Australia. If it is a cheap brand, then Rock Angel offers good quality for its price, although I must admit I wouldn't buy it for anything more than $35 AUD.
Clean fruity florals are a dime a dozen these days, and Rock Angel tends to blend in with the rest of them. However, this fragrance is something that I did enjoy because unlike other fruity florals, this fragrance sat well on my skin, and lasted a fair while longer too.
The drydown is mostly soapy musk with the faintest hint of pear and apple. It leaves much to be desired. The opening was something I found far more promising. Despite it's rather bland and generic approach, I think most would enjoy wearing Rock Angel, especially young girls.
It may not necessarily be the perfect scent for a rockstar or an angel, but for what it's worth, it's a pleasantly inoffensive fragrance, fresh enough to be enjoyed during both Spring and Summer. I give a tentative thumbs up.
