Nose Numbing
This oil hits deep and numbs your nose like no other. The opening reminds me of Nha Trang LTD, but the bitter medicinal blast lasts much longer with this one. Vaporous fumes à la Oriscent open the way, followed by a bitter medicinal quality juxtaposed against this sweet brown sugar facet, and the strong smell of wood—ancient, clean-smelling wood. I find the ancient wood facet present with many of the older Oriscent oils, but here, it's more prominent than elsewhere and lasts from start to finish—a full-bodied oil. With many new gen oils, I get that woody nuance only in the dry down. Here, it is ever-present. Later in the base, I get a subtle honeyed quality, but overall, this oil is bitter. A beautiful bitter wood aroma that anesthetizes your nose if you inhale deeply. Not overly complex, just right. Royal Kinam is a fitting name.
