Hey hey hay
Well this was fun for about half an hour. The opening was surprisingly fresh and evoked indeed a fresh springtime mood. Picture a dewy green meadow of pollen-rich herbs and wildflowers. Nice woody support.

And then.. Ah yes the 'hay' note, induced by a fierce dose of coumarin. That's where the fun ends for me personally. The green turns greyish-yellowish (beige-ish?) and the freshness makes place for a warmer musky-woody blandness.

Note to self: avoid coumarin-heavy perfumes.

Outdoor scent
Grassy, green, spicy. Mint, galbanum?
Anyway, a herb garden, slightly smoky. Then green-herb-powdery. The powder flies away and a grey-green woody base completes the fragrance after hours. This is the best phase for AugustA. In terms of character, DlP could be described as an "open-air fragrance" if someone could imagine what it means

Delicate as a spider's web
A delicate, slightly sweet, fresh green scent. I would put Deja Le Printemps together with other zen-like scents such as Calvin Klein's Truth, Bond No. 9's High Line and Nuit Etoilee by Annick Goutal. The grass is truly green in this scent, slightly sweetened in a natural manner by the clover note. The galbanum brings to mind an association with Chanel's No. 19 but not as strong as in No. 19. The camomile, mint and fig are present as well but there is nothing loud about this scent. Truth would be far more aquatic than Deja Le Printemps, Nuit Etoilee has a wonderful strong mint note that is muted here and High Line has the hyacinth note that makes it different from Deja Le Printemps and the others. It's not predominantly any single note but a nicely crafted, very natural smelling, calming as camomile tea, green scent. Sadly the lasting power is pretty abysmal on my skin, lasting about 2 hours and slightly better on clothes. It is a pity as I found sniffing this scent very soothing, totally unlike my usual desires of heady flowers and rich spices but in my opinion would have been a worthy buy if not for the poor staying power which is unfortunately worse than my experiences with L'Artisan. For those who have better fortune with the longevity, lucky you and enjoy!

Is It Springtime Again?...
Deja Le Printemps opens with what best can be described as a slightly aromatic eucalyptus-like mint and fig tandem with a fresh green grass undertone. As the fragrance enters the early heart the mint slowly fades, leaving the fig to directly mesh with the remaining green grass supported by resinous musky woody galbanum. As the composition progresses to the late dry-down a slightly sharp vetiver driven natural woody accord joins the remnants of the greens with a very faint tree moss undertone from the base adding weight to the relatively airy composition. Projection is on the low side of average, with average longevity at 6-8 hours on skin.

Deja Le Printemps did not exactly wow me when I first sprayed it on, but its eucalyptus-like fig and mint really does gain appeal as it gradually couples with the green grass and galbanum in the heart. That aside, it is the late dry-down with its welcome addition of vetiver and woods, however, that turns the composition into something special as they combine extremely well with the remaining greens and the aromatic fig. This whole effect indeed conjures visions of a spring countryside with fig trees in the background, green grassy fields and wild aromatic herbs growing within. The bottom line is the 120 euro per 100ml bottle Deja Le Printemps delivers what its name promises, earning a "very good" 3.5 stars out of 5 and a solid recommendation especially to lovers of fragrances like Eau de Campagne by Sisley.

Incredible mint and fig opening. Idyllic, fresh, dry and naturalistic. Short lived as vetiver soon overpowers

Cut grass, mint, an incredibly green and natural scent with amazingly decent longevity. To the point it could be *too* realistic for some.
