why...
... has no one yet had the idea of wrapping flowers in the finest suede? as highend-packaging, excessive luxury?
ormonde jayne is showing us how to do this:
first a spicy cloud of the finest sand-coloured suede. you don't dare to open this finely wrapped bouquet.but while the container is slowly warming up in your hand, the scent of the flowers is already seeping through:
sandy tender iris, small dwarf, freesias, grasses,... a hint of cognac only very late.
somehow I immediately think of champagne...
... too many kitsch films seen? or is this association inevitable...?
the roses are pushing their way out
roses and leather....unbeatable sensual duet..
you should put this bouquet in the vase with the packaging. no one who has a trained sense of smell could find it strange:
at most he would be surprised that nobody had thought of this idea before. ...

Royal Suede
Ormonde Jayne is often "only" known for her four-corners collection or the signature line available in niche perfumeries. Of course, these fragrances are generally also a nice introduction to the brand and above all easily available. Recently, I have mainly been occupied with the Bespokes and Exclusives and was able to find one or the other gemstone for myself. My experiences ranged from "Extremé" (of Montabaco) to Made-to-Measure (Ormonde Man, 50% perfume).

Now I'm attracted to a Harrod Exclusive - Cuir Imperial. It is part of the Bespoke Collection and comes in the usual Harrods dark green outer packaging. These are perhaps known from Roja Exclusives. Here the circle closes in things brand appearance of the noble department store perfectly.

Cuir Imperial needs a good 5 minutes on the skin to calm down. Then I exude a fragrance of the most beautiful suede, as if I had just put on a jacket of this material for the first time. But at the same time a warm, almost heavy sweetness of cognac sounds, which fits so perfectly to the leather that any olfactory separation seems impossible from now on.

The cardamom note is the first 10 minutes almost hyperreal and supports the impression of light suede even more. At the same time, a woody freshness remains throughout the entire fragrance and gives the cognac leather a structure and transparency. After a good 30 minutes, the iris pulls a little into the light and tans the already buttery-soft leather even further. Towards a second skin.

It stays that way for hours now. Slowly the sandalwood becomes more present and the tonka bean gives the previously palatable cognac more and more heart through an almond aroma. Everything seems so harmonious and flowing that there is simply no moment when I can really make out or delimit the transition between the stages of this fragrance. A perfect sound.

After almost 7 hours the scent is now closer to the skin and a soft, very warm wooden bed with minimal sweetness and the memory of the most beautiful suede I have ever been allowed to wear.

I guess it's about 20-25% perfume, which is why a little sure instinct is needed, especially when it comes to dosage. For writing and in the office I only need 2 sprayers to achieve a perfect wearability and perception.

Cuir Imperial rightly claims, and not only in name, a place in the royal class. It's hard to do it more nobly. Contrary to its imprint, the fragrance is unisex and worth more than just a test for every suede fan.
