The Exclusive Family
I gave Jardin Infini as a birthday present this year. Only after the notes I might not have been on board, but I liked the suede note from Cuir Imperial extremely well with Ormonde Jayne. So I went for a blind buy. And wasn't disappointed.
If Cuir Imperial is clearly designed for a male clientele, Jardin Infini has the same beautiful suede, combined with soft notes of flowers and some patch. The leather is really dominant or clearly perceptible only for the first half hour before it is softened by iris and jasmine and fits beautifully into the fragrance. Jardin Infini remains of course a leather fragrance.
Especially close to the skin, the patch plays minimally moist and earthy, but also never massive or exaggerating. It gives a little structure and a further level in the round and harmonious fragrance, which gently fades away in the drydown with balsamic wood.
So there's no big process - and that's what I really appreciate about this fragrance. He stays on the skin and at my side for over eight hours and I look forward to him every minute.
All this makes Jardin Infini the little brother of Cuir Imperial. But it doesn't shine any less. But to tell his very own story.
PS: That it's an exclusive Fortnum & Mason fragrance of all things doesn't have to bother you. With a nice mail to Ormonde Jayne you can get him even without a visit to the luxury temple. :)
