PK Perfumes / Red Leather
Perfume considered by its creator Paul Kiler to be his best work. There is definitely something to it. Perfumes, especially the beginning, are not easy and demanding.
We have a strong hit of sweet and sour rhubarb mixed with a spicy scent of leather, spicy pepper (apparently pink ... unfortunately I don't know myself) and animal notes. The impressions are and can be bizarre ... that's the smell of an animal excited by a pepper pressed in the eyes with other spices, and at the same time sweetened with the sweetness and sourness of juicy rhubarb. Others may smell a strange chemical smell .... it's not different.
This beginning is really strong. After a while the notes settle down, the skin is not so sharp anymore…. begins to smooth and turn into nice suede. The slightly animalistic notes are still noticeable (castoreum, civet), but now a good rum comes into play. From then on, the perfume becomes more suede-rum (bay rum) with a noticeable scent of wood, in which this stimulant is probably stored. In addition to these notes that I feel, I can sense clove, musk and other spices. The perfume, as the name suggests, is red (I understand that the color of the skin, pink pepper, rum, rhubarb and teak is the result of this). Perfume, in my opinion, more for men, good projection, and durability up to 8 hours.
Interesting experience… and worth knowing

Rhubarb Leather Fast Forward
Prologue:
Wolle and the gang wanted to go to the beverage market. Herner Feinbräu Premium was on offer, only 2.99 euros the box. The men emptied Bollerwagen and everything else you could attach to the motorcycle and then should be filled up. Hardly one had arrived: yawning emptiness.
"Pitter, where is the beer? Not yet in stock?"
"Yes, but it's all sold out. Your rival gang has had their fill, the ones with the red collar, er the red frocks!"
"What? Again? Men, we need to find these and challenge them to a beer competition!"

The Red Leather gang consisted of applicants rejected by Wool. Rejected because at the time they either showered too often or could go home running. That was not proper, downright frowned upon. Anyway, this gang had created a scent, an exciting leather scent. It smelled like faux leather on a sour rhubarb base. First very exuberant and rounded off with a splash of grapefruit to evoke a certain bitterness. In addition, there was a host of spices which rounded it off and didn't add any defining notes. Wool was glad it didn't smell like shower gel, he was allergic to that. He used to bathe less than Bud Spencer in western movies. Mostly he let rain pass for a bath.

The first discipline was a one-on-one between Udo and an opponent. One had to drink so long and go slalom until one fell down. Udo was drink-firmly however it remained unfortunately with its voluminous rear end at a bar hang and lay down lengthwise. Although he reacted so quickly that he drank his beer in the fall, opened a new one and emptied it as well, nevertheless the first match was lost.
Wolle had to fix it now. It followed a tournament fight with motorcycle and broomstick instead of horse and lance. This fight won Wolle because the opponent braked shortly before the impact, Wolle did not. For once not because he was drunk but because Hotte had manipulated the brakes before. Inadvertently Wolle's and not the opponent's. Anyway, that's how the tie was reached and the doubles would have to decide.

Half an hour had passed and the rhubarb no longer stood out strongly. Although still perceptible, some rum was given precedence paired with tobacco, which smouldered slightly, but nothing more. It smelled like the tobacco had been lit and quickly extinguished. There were also woody notes, rather pleasing, not profound. But what really stood out now was the Bay Rum. Successively, the scenery was covered by a spicy-sweet clove breath, the leather smelled so quite special and unique.

The competition was simmering, the doubles was going to be a hearty brawl or rather gossip. It was decided to play Pie Face. Unfortunately, one was not so intelligent as to understand how the game worked and since Wolles Mannen meanwhile completely dominated the Red Leather gang in terms of alcohol consumption, Wolles Eleven was crowned the winner. As a result, the Red Leather gang had to leave town. Without the red robes and perfume. Merely in sullied underpants. This already stemmed from pre-contest times.

As quickly as the spectacle ended, the creation faded away. After a short time we have a harmless leather scent, which continues to smell nuanced, but overall fades out over a long time. Personally, I find this unfortunate because at the end of the day, this does not speak for an acquisition. Times as a comparison there worn in parallel: so gentle and moderate fragrances like Royal Oud act in relation only so bursting with power

Surrealistic Red Leather
I think that when Paul says that this is a Leather like no other, he is not joking. I was thinking that this might be so far his most challenging creation for me. It made me feel strange at first, trying to fit what was familiar and odd here, until it ocurred to me that this is a kind of surrealistic leather, something that i never saw before. I get a series of contradictions, of a fragrance that has a butchery, carnal and animalic leather at the same time it smells like birch-like polished boots. The red here causes me a strange impression at first. It hits you strong at the opening and it's such a mixture of colorful materials that produces me illusions, like objects that shouldn't be there but seems to be anyway: i get the pepper, grapefruit, but at the same time i get an intense passionfruit aroma, which seems to turn into rhubarb very fast. Once i get used with the strangeness of this fruity things in a double leather impression, i see the last demanding sides of it: the powdery, hot carnation aroma, the very discreet use of roses, the boozy bay rum touch, the cedary incense working at background. The complete the scene, work as pieces that seems to produce the normal part of this surrealistic ambience. I don't know if, after understanding it, i'm scared or fascinated. Maybe both? Certainly i would like to smell it more times to understand the strangeness it causes me at first.

A Tannery
I am trying to like this scent, but I can't. It reminds me of a leather tannery where the leather sits in vats and is treated.

The top notes assault the nose with a potent leathery smell and although over time the scent gets softer, it just cannot win me over. It is quite an experience.

The scent is reminiscent more of a time and a place than something that one would want to spray on.

Too bad ... because that is the second scent of Paul Kiler's samples and the first one, "Ere", is quite nice.

This is hard to gauge because i'm not into oriental fragrances. But to me, heavy star anise, smoke and clove. Really hard to like personally
