Calm in the storm
Yesterday I was nervous and anxious - and scientists have found that shopping calms women - but excites men.
Here, in our togetherness, that's true.
Hubby's hair stands on end while shopping - while I look and look - and look and look ...
To cut the long story short, he takes many a bottle from my hand - about which I still ponder - and carries it to the checkout.
So his impatience, coupled with decisiveness, has something going for it.
When I show myself pleased, he grumbles that he doesn't want to spend the night in the store.
But yesterday a friend accompanied me to Karstadt - and she accomplishes the feat of being even more long-winded than I am.
Finally we arrived at Karstadt at a snail's pace - swept along by a gigantic maelstrom of people - which I am not at all comfortable with.
So I was also pushed by willing to buy through the department store .
Nevertheless, my antennas were on reception, and I discovered out of the corner of my eye Olympea Aqua Eau de Parfum legere.
Oops - I have not yet - but already the EdP.
Usually I like the casuals with fragrances particularly well - and so it is also here.
I am completely taken by the sweetish coolness of this fragrance.
I pause - and also stop traffic - but I don't care.
This scent, paired with water jasmine and salted vanilla takes me over entirely.
The orange has a calming effect , the cashmere wood warms and neroli cools to it.
A distinctive blend that focuses my attention - without any excitement or obtrusiveness.
This fragrance is casual in the most audacious sense of the word.
The din around me ebbs, and calm returns.
Cello music - played by Hauser - rings softly and sonorously in my ears.
Aqua legere has found its place with me.
