Summery and energizing with a retro vibe
The pink grapefruit can be a bit screechy at the opening. but the pink peppercorn comes through very quickly. For a very summer frag this is one that doesn't insist on relentless blue skies for it's back drop. It can work well with sullen skies just as well. It modulates nicely on my skin, quickly mellowing to a jasmine-ish floral (I know it's not in the notes but I get it anyway). The sandalwood takes over pretty quickly for me but the grapefruit hangs on, growing oddly mellow. Perhaps one wouldn't expect it to be a grounding and centering experience, but it is for me. Silage is significant so it might not be best for office wear unless you have your own space. Longevity on my skin is about 4 hours. So glad, what is left in my bottle endures unchanged since I blind-bought it in the mid-naughts. As a summer frag this one has gone the distance for me. Love it.
