A kinder and nicer version of Gucci Intense Oud
Palquis belongs to the Arthes group and was born as a tribute to the Queen of Sheba, legendary sovereign of the eastern kingdom, to which, throughout the history, many names such as Palquis, Balkis or even "Creature of Heaven" have been dedicated to her. Idolized and admired by its people beyond its borders, the Queen of Sheba was infinitely beautiful. And like its lands, this perfume is full of natural riches, an oriental preciousness of smoked leather, resins, incense and a touch of spices.
It reminded me a lot of Gucci Intense Oud, although this one from Palquis is much nicer, and I would even dare to say that more beautiful, being somewhat sweeter, but not sugary, is a resinous sweetness, which, to me, personally, I love it, and if we talk about price ... no point of comparison.
The fundamental pillar of the perfume is a chord of woody incense and leather, precious, that acts as a guide throughout the development of the aroma. Initially we find this aroma accompanied by slight sweet and somewhat green nuances, which make the output a bit more fresh, but without abandoning that dark tone that accompanies the perfume throughout his life, a precious incense. Then, those nuances, which refresh the aroma, vanish immediately, the woody tone lowers in intensity and the leather is made with the perfume accompanied by a resinous sweetness, which removes the hiccups, is a sweet leather with smoky and somewhat dirty tones , which make up a leather rich in nuances, very beautiful. The final drying is a sweet amber with a very slight leather tone. In general, a dark perfume of leather and incense, with niche appearance and demolition price.
The performance is very good, with a duration of skin that exceeds 9 hours, with a moderate wake at all times, although that is what I think, because friends and family have been smelling it perfectly throughout the day.
Perfume of cold and temperate climates with a marked night air. I have been using it these hot days and I have not had any problems in dressing it, but I think that its ideal performance would be on colder days, yes, it is not a daily perfume, it is elegant and formal, and more appropriate for appointments or special moments.
The truth is that I had not put many expectations to this house of perfumes, but I have to swallow my prejudices, I bought it because I found it at a ridiculous price, and I am most happy with it. A great perfume of leather, incense and resins, which has nothing to envy to more renowned perfumes. It is a perfume difficult to find, but if you meet one, do not hesitate, it is a preciousness, although, yes, only for the unconditional dark perfumes.
