Lehmann- passion: 1 l'Avion - fresh green weightlessness
Unfortunately, I only heard about Harry Lehmann after my last visit to Berlin, which is a pity because I would have liked to have a look inside the shop. Actually you have everything you could wish for here:
1. Small house, it is produced exclusively for the shop
2. Tradition, the shop is managed in the third generation
3. Closeness, the perfumer himself stands behind the counter and should be very talkative
4. Low price, the fragrances are unbeatable cheap.
The most important thing, of course, is that the perfume can do something. So I ordered a few fragrances blindly by mail, got no confirmation, but the package mot enclosed invoice.
My first fragrance is L'Avion. It is described on the website as "a fresh, green grass note", but it's much more than that.
The scent is sparkling, bouncy and above all weightless.
One can definitely think of the propeller engine of a hobby pilot by the smell.
It starts with mowed lawn, more white flowers, neat stems and leaves. Fresh natural citric (Petigrain?), it scratches juicy green in the throat.
Actually at first a quite authentic scent of flower shops, it smells wet, green, fresh, possibly slightly fresh mossy musty. This brings in a subtly tart old-school masculinity. Unfortunately, this is overshadowed by a light but noticeable cream, which disturbs me in the beginning. Unfortunately, this smells just too feminine for me at skin level. Fortunately it only appears occasionally and is otherwise rather cryptic.
The whole thing mixes with young fir needles, so fresh that you could eat them. Soft, fragile, light green The small machine flies over thriving lush nature. It had rained a lot lately, so that everything grows and sprouts. Since a few days the sun is shining and tickles the pilot's face.
The air is clear, you can see far today.
On the horizon there is an ominous spice thunderstorm front, which will, however, pass far by. No danger.
The tank is full, today it will stay in the air for a long time.

Thank you very much for reading my Cmentar

Lehmann's all-in-one
I'm undecided.

L'avion has some friends like Nofrete, Loewenherz, Minigolf, FvSpee and others. That has something to say, I trust the judgements of these colleagues here.

I'm still undecided.

I wrote in a statement that for this fragrance every pack had really been torn open, conifer ethereal, grass, cool floweriness, spices (thankfully without cinnamon), powder, warmth, coolness, a pinch of Orientalism, the whole circle of fifths up front and down back again.

The top note with the nose on the skin says: A mighty flush of cool-blooded scents, I smell lavender - cool and gently spicy, I smell dark green notes, this is beautiful and distant and reminds me of a very big Lehmann favourite of mine, the wonderful melancholic Reseda. A green cool flower scent - in the style of Vintage No 19 e.g.

The top note from further away however says: conifer and grass, very green, very freshly cut, with a hint of coumarin - a Fougère with a clear focus on the spruce needle.

So that's how my surroundings smell me and now I'm a Fougère fan, but I'm afraid my surroundings aren't so much. I'd rather wear Fougères alone. It is only gradually that the flowers take over the direction in the distant effect, tart and beautifully distant, but spruce needle green always remains audible.

Gently powdery, but without even the slightest hint of sweetness or soft non-binding, always on the waiting and herbblütigen side, the smell becomes only gradually, however, in the course of time a quite delicately spiced twist comes in addition - Orient-light so to speak - also beautiful and the whole finally ends in a warm resinous base chord, which I also know from some other Lehmänner.

It is not the case that the fragrance did not smell beautiful and worth smelling in almost every phase of its rapid development (quite untypical of a clay man, it makes quite a lot of a go through). It's just that I appreciate the continuity of a clay man and almost expect it. Lehmanns are not head note blenders, they almost always start almost in the same way as they smell in the heart and finally ebb away in the typical Lehmannsche Benzoe-Vanille-Amber-Accord, many at least do - which I really appreciate.

No, now I'm not undecided:

This is not bad - it is even much better than much of what I have tested. And won't be a darling after all. Because: If I want Fougère, then I reach for the Lehmann of the same name (unfortunately discontinued). If I want cool melancholic-distant bloom, then I reach for Reseda. And if I want green-warning silkiness, then to my favorite clay man Vamos.

Berlin flower bomber
Fasten your seat belts, please The heavily loaded plane takes off amazingly fast and emits a dense grass-green cloud, at the same time fresh, spicy and bitter-herby. Rarely have I smelled such a beautiful shimmering green top note, which is certainly composed of many ingredients. Imaginable are angelica, myrtle, petitgrain, bitter orange or grapefruit, wormwood, tarragon and caraway.

High up in the firmament, the plane performs the greatest capers and throws an abundance of spicy and slightly soapy scented flowers down to the meadow. There are many carnations and other colourful flowers, perhaps jasmine, lilac, orange blossom and mimosa, which loosen up the austerity. The overall impression of the accompaniment is close to broom. Later, an ethereal-mentholige component is added, similar to sage and pimento, Macis is also conceivable. In the beginning, the smell is loud as if the engines of a propeller machine were turned up and ready to start and is almost pressing. After half an hour he calms down, and something like freesia and cyclamen comes to the fore to the carnation.

After a few hours of gliding, the machine lands in the sunset. The dark soil with its flowers and leaf tendrils looks like an antique silky soft Persian carpet in the pale light. It may be patchouli, amber and oakmoss that give the perfume a warm, earthy and almost oriental aura at the end.
To me ''L'Avion'' doesn't seem chaotic, but goes through a comprehensible and exciting development: from green to yellow-red to dark red. The opulent floral bouquet with the central carnation looks retro, the original top note and the gradient make the perfume nischig.

The fragrance is striking and makes a big impression. You don't need a ticket to take off - just to!

Nostalgic music matching the theme: ''Capriolen'' by Peter Kreuder & Orchester, 1937, title song of the film of the same name by Gustav Gründgens. In the comedy, an author of books about extraordinary women who prefers crickets on the stove falls in love with a pilot.
