You nasty little molecule
...what are you? And why do I find you attractive one second and almost repulsive the next? You should be a fragrance twin to Geza Schoen Molecule 01. So ISO-E super. I must confess, I don't have that much experience with molecular scents. I have actually never tried Molecule 01. When I ordered it, I accidentally received the 02, which I found, well, boring. And it is said that my beloved Silver Musk from Nasomatto also contains the infamous ISO molecule. Whether it does, I can't say for lack of a scent pyramid. And Mr. Gualtieri probably wouldn't tell me either.

But what has the good Herr Lehmann mixed together here? On paper, I'm addicted to MOL Intens at first. Wide grin on his face, flashed, yeah, he is great, so my reaction to the first taster. About masculine, but still clear, clean, fresh, pure, fine wood tones and a cool, even delicious synthetic welcomed me here. So I did not think long and applied the scent. But on me he plays a not so nice little game with me, in which I unfortunately do not know even after several hours whether I want to continue to play.

Yes, the notes I inhaled on the wipes with delight are all there on my skin. But, wait, stop. There's also something else that makes me want to make a face. I get a note that I know from Sauvage, LV Orage and even Office for Men. Is that Ambroxan? I thought we only had ISO here, Herr Lehmann? Or are the molecules going completely crazy now?
Well, what can I say. I smell like a mixture of something tender, quite wonderful and wet socks from the footballer's changing room. Am I supposed to like that? Should I take another shower? Fortunately, my husband doesn't smell anything. These molecules cannot be perceived by all noses
The Sillage moves in a moderate, almost body-hugging area. And the scent changes between beautiful and "Sauvage-ig" (I don't know what else to call it).
Here too we are dealing with a very well-crafted fragrance. And at Lehmann we naturally do not need to talk about value for money. I would guess that everyone will perceive this scent a little bit differently. I just say "Love and Hate are Both 4-letter-words"
Many thanks to AdAstra72 for the sample.

Lehmann- passion: 4 - Mol Intens vs. Molecule 01 - A comparison
Oh, yes, the molecular perfumery Disengaged from Geza Schön, more and more fragrances emerge, which resist the classic perfumery, disregard the "scent pyramid" in a media-effective way and rely on simple, plain scent molecules.
Don't get me wrong, I like it, I'm a friend of complexly created, as well as simple synthetic fragrances.
And rebellion is something I like to do The only thing that disturbs me, be it from Zarko or Geza, is the promotionally effective presentation and use of half facts And in between all this hustle and bustle Lutz quietly and secretly releases his Iso-E-Super - between decades old classics a molecular scent is created.
And what kind of one But before I describe him, I would like to give a short introduction to the perfumo's who are not so well versed in the field.
Iso-E-super is considered to be an odour enhancer that enhances other fragrances and gives volume and radiance. It was first used in large quantities in the well-known Dior Fahrenheit, but is now found in an incredible number of fragrances. Sometimes it is mentioned as a fragrance note, sometimes not.
A perfume with iso-e-super as the only fragrance Geza Schön released in 2006 with "Molecule 01". Since then, the substance has been said to have a pheromone-like effect, Prof. Dr. Dr. Dr. med. habil. Hanns Hatt is doing research on this at the RUB Bochum and believes that this substance eliminates the sibling effect. This means: Iso-E-super is supposed to dock to one of the last remaining human pheromone receptors and make the carrier more sexually attractive for the opposite sex. The research here is still in its infancy, as far as I can see there is little or nothing proven yet. At the same time, Geza Schön's brand the talk of "attractants" comes in very handy. Even I sometimes imagine that people treat me differently when I wear Molecule 01, but that is wishful thinking
To the smell:
Iso-E-super is extremely convertible.
The odor can best be described as woody, metallic, fresh, light to slightly fruity.
It jumps from odour blindness to room filling.
From headaches to fascination.
In general the sillage fluctuates, is often described as wavy.
Both fragrances possess this property, but they differ greatly in the details
Mol intens smells richer, more voluminous and generally more concentrated. However, this does not make the projection stronger. I also perceive the synthetic note, which many associate with hairspray, more strongly. In general, Mol intens is somewhat more scratchy, juicier, heavier. I also smell a fresh, pungent blackberry note and something remotely reminiscent of lavender, which I don't notice at all with Molecule 01.
Also, I'm sure I can smell cachmeran. Reminds me of a mixture of Molecule 05 and 01.
Unfortunately, Mol Intens lacks the often described "billowing" Sillage which sometimes appears brute and sometimes disappears completely. This phenomenon is only very subtle in Lehmann's version. A pity. It is therefüt it
more perceptible near the skin, more sympathetic, warm, inviting.
We have fresh coolness here as well, but Molecule 01 is a lot colder, even goes into the icy for me and thus seems to be much more distanced.
If both fragrances were one color,
Molecule 01 metallically specular, smooth.
and Mol intensely bright purple, furry.

I suggest two sprayers for the dosage, you should be really careful, everyone perceives the scent differently.

Which one you get, everyone has to know for themselves. In any case, one does not get the same, but two very similar scents. I personally like Molecule 01 a bit better, but I wouldn't want to miss both in my collection.
I can only recommend a blind purchase from Harry Lehmann, because of the price and because I generally consider it worth supporting.

Thank you very much for reading my comment.

Iso Super Ellena & Schoen celebrate with Lutz Lehmann in a dacha in Schöneiche
MOL Intens: A fragrance name to dream of!
If you drive 20 km eastwards along the Berlin Alex, you leave the noisy city and first enter the urban belt, then soon the quiet and green Brandenburg: Landkreis Märkisch Oderland, license plate number MOL. Away from B1 and B5 you can take a nice walk or live in a halfway quiet area.

A film in Monsieur Teste's head reveals In a dacha, say in Schöneiche, the pioneers of minimalism, Jean-Claude Ellena, and ultra-minimalism met a few years ago: Geza Schoen with the old master & trustee of the self-mixing German drugstore heritage, Lutz Lehmann. In a rickety wooden dacha, surrounded by rhubarb and early blossoming plants, the common concern was discussed, celebrated and MOL intensely born.

At Ellena's house in Hermes, something like that is called Un Jardin sur Le Nil or a roof terrace somewhere else in North Africa. Berlin's perfume world heritage site Geza Schoen responded with the famous Escentric Molecules 01: Pure ISO E Super. And this is exactly what the other half of the Berlin World Heritage Site, Mr. Lehmann, now fills into its wonderful retro flacons and gives it the very Ellena-like, flower and wood dreams evocative title MOL Intens.
Especially in confinement times, this suburbia or bacon belt sign, which might otherwise be somewhat smiled at in the western part of the city centre, now makes people who are stuck in the city dream: of airy dachas in Märkisch Oderland, of the scent of spring, of the summer or autumnal allotment garden blossoms of the oak avenues around Schöneiche.

Well, fun and culture clash aside: You can read about the fascinating scent qualities of Iso E Super, which is available in pure form with MOL Intens (as in Geza Schoen's Escentric Molecules 01), here below and at Geza Schoen's pioneer fragrance. It offers a woody-sandy-water-like fragrance experience, which also seems to interact strongly with the individual skin chemistry processes. In high concentration this wonder weapon of newer aroma chemistry is said to be mixed with many famous (and by me appreciated) summer scents: for example the elegant Eau boisée by Guerlain or the clearly louder Terre d'Hermes.

This Iso E Super can now be purchased at Escentric Molecules for a high price (like the football artist Messi and many others). Or very cheap in big bottles in the net (no idea what you can get from sources unknown to me: but chemically it should always be exactly the same arrangement of molecules). Or you can get it, with style and here explained dream name, as MOL Intens, from Herry Lehmann. Of course we strongly appeal for this.

You are thereby promoting the wonderful business of Lehmann's individual perfumery. You show yourself as the avant-garde of international hipsterism with regard to underestimated Brandenburg counties (Schöneiche will be the new Babelsberg - in a few decades). And you get a very interesting, ultra-modern fragrance from a real vintage boutique
The purchase (and every spraying) of MOL Intens reminds me of the strange contradictions of the past, when the West German student bought his first Armani pour hommes or the beautiful Yves Saint Laurent Jazz in the Intershop on the Transit or in the S-Bahn station Friedrichstrasse. And with this unheard-of luxury, he simultaneously promoted the construction of the declining GDR socialism. And found these contradictions in an indefinable (probably decadent) way as world-historically tingling.

Mr. Teste feels an analogous historical tingle today when using the postmodern minimalist MOL Intens from the venerable house of Lehmann, which is so deeply rooted in 20th century Berlin history.

Gone fishing
I was very undecided. From the beginning. Even before I had him up my nose for the first time. And during that. And now basically still. I don't know if I'm supposed to like him or not. Whether riot or trivial.

MOL intens - so Harry Lehmann says - is ISO-E-Super. And nothing else. A synthetic substance that is said to have an animal-like ambry cedar wood accord and an extraordinarily high durability. I wasn't sure how to find it: just an ingredient, and a synthetic one at that. And this from Harry Lehmann, the charming traditional house with the artificial flowers in the small shop on Kantstraße in Charlottenburg. Many 'big' fragrances (including those by Jean-Claude Ellena, Ormonde Jayne and Serge Lutens) use ISO-E-Super - some rather covertly bashful, others quite prominent. Nevertheless, if I look at the 'monotheme ISO-E-Super' in isolation, it may be scientifically interesting, but I am not one to approach perfumes scientifically. I approach perfumes sensually.

Beyond the above-mentioned considerations, I find a sensual fragrance which, despite its monothematic nature, is everything, but not one-dimensional. There is something weightlessly metallic and something gently animalistic, there are wood juices and moist earth - and I understand a bit why someone - the house Harry Lehmann is not alone with the idea - would like to show the facets of ISO-E-Super, this supposed wonder substance, once unblinded and falsified alone. The scent of which, despite the facets mentioned, is simple and reduced, as if on a quiet day in early summer you were alone thinking about a lake shore. A little outdoor and a little quiet melancholy, a little defiance, a little tenderness. Musk and fire and pine wood in the rain, you'd almost think. And then remembers: wrong thought, everything only ISO-E-Super.

Conclusion: the wonderful Chris Rea once sang about going fishing, a bit resigned and sad - and yet gentle:

'I'm gone fishing, I got me a line.
Nothing I do is gonna make the difference -
so I'm taking the time.

And you ain't never gonna be happy, anyhow, anyway.
So I'm gone fishing,
and I'm going today.

I'm gone fishing, sounds crazy I know.
I know nothing about fishing,
but just watch me go.'

I'm still undecided - in an intellectual way. I really like it sensually. And now: gone fishing.
