Is It the BEST almond based scent?
Madeleine is probably the BEST almond based fragrances that I have ever tried. It is very dense and is one between this kind of fragrances the more long lasting is. The opening is a bit fresh, with the bergamot and the almond, It has even for me some minth vibe. Then in the dry down It becomes powdery, sweet and flowery with the presence of the heliotrope, one of the bes heliotrope perfumes that I have also ever tried. In the dry down the musk give some power yo the fragance, which lasts easily 7-8 hours with a medium sillage.
I have discovered a great perfume, one of the BEST I have tried during the last months. This perfume goes following the líne of perfumes like object celeste by Volnay or Pegasus by parfums de Marly but... For me much better!

She was still...
...a beautiful woman. Even though her alabaster-coloured skin had lost some of its youthful freshness, one could not get enough of her aristocratic features. Apart from her perfectly curved lips and sweet little nose, it was her eyes that captivated us. There were days when they seemed more blue...on other days more grey...and then there were days when he could have sworn they were purple...as purple as the heliotrope that blooms in the garden.
While she poured Earl Grey into his cup she looked at him with those purple eyes framed by long black eyelashes. God how much he loved that woman. She drove him crazy. He knew that she didn't love him anymore...and that it was his fault that this love had gone out over the years. But he couldn't help but control her all the time...and yes...it was also hard for him to keep his jealousy in check. Whatever she had to tease him... "is that an almond cake?" he asked her while she served him a piece on a dessert plate. "No, what makes you think so?"... "it smells like almonds and lemons here"... It must be my new scent, do you like it?" she sat down opposite him and poured herself tea as well. "Ah, that's your third new scent in a very short time. I wonder if collecting scents has become your new hobby or if you are more interested in the young man who is now working for Madame Julie in the perfumery". She paused briefly in her movement and put the jug down on the table ... "You mean Raoul? A very interesting young man. He studies pharmacy and earns a little money on the side with Madame Julie..."... "so you call each other by your first name"... he felt anger boil up in him and he clenched his hands into fists... "I beg you, why do you always have to overreact like that? Have I ever given you a reason to be jealous? I have always been faithful to you!!!". She grabbed her cigarette case and went to the window. She lit a cigarette with trembling fingers. "Madeleine! Please forgive me, you know I don't mean that and no, you've always been faithful to me. How foolish of me to think that such a young man could be interested in you. After all, you're not that young anymore. Come my darling, don't be angry with me, the tea is getting cold and I can't wait to try this delicious cake". She turned to him again and while she was pulling on her cigarette she watched her husband eating from the cake. At last she would soon be free. Free of him and his morbid jealousy, his need to control and the constant humiliation. Free for Raoul, who did everything for her, even getting the cyanide for her...

I can understand why Madeleine is called poisonous, as there are two components that are poisonous...bitter almond and heliotrope. On me you can smell the almond from the beginning to the end and the heliotrope makes it wonderfully vanilla, soft. I find the bergamot in it interesting, which is not dominant at all, but still present and makes the whole thing look a bit fresher. I don't know if it's the musk or if I'm imagining it...but I have the feeling that after a while the scent really gets on my taste buds, as unusual as it may sound...and I feel a bitter taste in my mouth. Nevertheless a fantastic scent which makes the wearer appear attractive and distant at the same time...

By the way, I was inspired for this little story by Can's comment, who kindly sent me a bottle of this perfume, thank you very much ;-)

Amour toxique
She had finally done it! She had been planning it for a long time. Always reluctant to do it. He would never let her go, that was clear. He would have found her wherever she was hiding. What had she loved him once? This handsome and fantastically handsome man. Intelligent, sophisticated and so seductive. Every woman's dream. But only on the outside! He changed quickly after the wedding. It all started with his need to control. Followed by jealousy and suspicion. Finally came humiliation, mental cruelty and finally physical violence. It was enough. More than enough! She looked out the window and lit a cigarette. Then she looked over her shoulder to the dining table. He was still sitting there. Where else would he be? After all, he was dead! The tea in front of him was still steaming and the cyanide cake was not even half eaten. The cyanide works very quickly, she had read. That's right!

With elegant steps she walked towards his lifeless body. His head was stretched far back and hung over the back of the chair with his mouth and eyes wide open. She closed his eyes and looked at him. His full, sensual lips had turned blue-violet. Even in death they looked as seductive as they had once done. As if in a trance, she bent down to him and wanted to give him one last kiss of farewell. He still had power over her. Even now... terrifying! But the smell that came out of his half opened mouth made her come back to her senses in a very pleasantly disturbing way. She could almost see the imaginary toxic fumes of cyanide that escaped his mouth. Oranges, yellow and slightly iridescent. What a lovely scent of prussic acid. A bit like marzipan, bitter almond or the blossoms of the heliotrope on a warm summer night. Slightly underscored by gentle chemical and synthetic vapours. Caressing, soft and clean and also a bit pungent. Attractive and yet so repellent. Seductive, soft, creamy and yet so deadly. She stroked him once again tenderly and gently over his face with the words...You smell delicious mon chéri! And dreamily left the room!
Conclusion
Who says poisons smell bad? One of the probably most concise and easy to recognize is probably cyanide. If one can smell it at all! Not everyone can smell it. For many noses it cannot be smelled like a molecular scent and for others it is more than obvious. Madeleine from Parfumerie Particuliére comes very close to this poison in terms of smell and impression. Madeleine obviously smells like bitter almond. Delicate tones of crushed, almost creamy fresh almonds mix with the marzipan-sweet scent of heliotrope. A metallic cool musk runs through Madeleine and gives the fragrance a seductive and chemically synthetic note. This is by no means unpleasant. Madeleine smells very attractive but also very irritating. It is not easy to classify emotionally and plays with coolness and warmth. Madeleine is very treacherous in sillage and also durability. Sometimes you think you can't smell or perceive the scent anymore, but in the next second you are caught up by a creeping cloud of gourmand, sweet-metallic scents. The scent follows with a time delay like a shadow. The durability of Madeleine is enormous for an apparently light half-gourmand. The perfume lasts eight hours on the skin. On clothes even several days. How do I find it? Dubious, tempting and incredibly delightful!
Madeleine,... to die for!

Unusual almond. The poisonous sweetness of almond+heliotrop compo is balanced by smth that smells like freshly cut grass.
