Really great, but expensive compared to alternatives
This was a blind buy for me after seeing some youtube reviews and _before_ I have read any comments about varying quality. The order took quite a long time, but it was announced on their web as there is probably a lot of traffic during xmas, so I didn't mind. Surprisingly it came from US, not Dubai, as I was expecting..
Presentation is pretty basic, no fancy boxes etc., but that goes to waste anyway, so it's fine for me.

I must say, I was a little worried after reading some comments, but the perfume is a complete banger. I cannot compare it to Aventus, which I haven't smelled, but I can compare to Armaf - Club de Nuit Intense Man Limited Edition. That one, has a very strong, sour lemon opening, while Emperor starts much more gentle, rounded and pleasant. Otherwise however, they are both very similar, maybe 95% in all the aspects - scent profile, projection and longevity (which are all great by the way - way above average)
I was expecting the Emperor to be a little more pineappl-y and sweet, but it is a great parfume nevertheless.
But is it worth the money? If you have CDNIM then definitely not. 100ml bottle of Emperor is around 160$, while I got CDNIM Limited Ed. 100ml for about 75$.
I like the Emperor more, but the price difference is not justified.
If you don't have CDNIM, then I would suggest you test it - if the sour opening will not be off-putting for you, then go for it. If you don't like the lemon, Emperor is a good alternative, though a lot pricier.

A dice game
I advise caution, have ordered several testers of all Aventus clones of Parfums Vintage and found like many Emperor best, have then ordered 50ml and also an Oud Wood clone which is also available on their website. Emperor was great and Oud Wood contrary to the reviews here, a really bad dupe that smelled completely different. I was thrilled with Emperor though, as it was really on par with the best version of the original Aventus, as was the tester. After a short time, however, I found that the shelf life was surprisingly poor compared to the tester. One could him after 1-2 hours already garnicht more, also others could nevertheless I had several sprays on my forearm, no longer perceive anything. So I thought, maybe a problem of 50ml bottles, because I read different statements about the shelf life. So I directly reordered the 100ml bottle, this was not only similarly bad in the durability, this smelled even significantly different and was decidedly further away from Aventus than, for example, the 30€ Club de Nuit. I have then written directly to Parfums Vintage, whether there was possibly something wrong bottled, or they have made a mistake when mixing, perhaps have another explanation for it. I got like many before me, no answer. The call up a proud price for their perfumes and in my experience, was only the tester of excellent durability. Whether that is specifically so, or I just had bad luck, I can not say, but I will definitely not order a third time there and expressly warn of the strong fluctuations that were delivered to me. For 2 bottles that were not worth the money, I could have bought an original. From my point of view, Club de Nuit is the one that comes closest, in the air hardly distinguishable, in direct comparison I succeed. Too bad, because the tester of Emperor, I could not distinguish from the original, or would even hold emperor rather for the original, he had this typical vibe, which also has the limited edition of Club de Nuit in lighter form. Unfortunately though, the limited edition is overall weaker in sillage than the EDT and in drydown it is also inferior to the cheaper EDT. Getting back to Emperor...I feel bounced and ripped off. The bottles and sprayers from Parfums Vintage are of the cheapest quality, which I could have lived with if the contents had matched the tester, but so only further underscores my image of audacity.

Smells Like Scented Water
Got to say I fell for the hype and got a 50ml bottle. It's the worst smelling Aventus clone I have smelled. It literally smells like scented water and it lasts five minutes on your skin before it's gone. Do you remember the intense sparkling pineapple note in Aventus, well here it smells very flat and is gone within five seconds or so. I've smelled tins of pineapple that had a better pineapple smell. Even the reformulated Armaf Club de Nuit Intense with it's smoke and flat pineapple on the back end is way better than this. Next to the Parfums Vintage Emperor the Armaf smells like a masterpiece.

The hype for this was unreal, if you sprayed one spray of the armaf CdNI into some water mixed it up. You would probably get a better smell and performance.

What a let down!........ yeah I know I blame myself.

Like a smoky batch of Aventus
More or less a spot on version of a smoky batch of Aventus - can hardly tell the difference! Very well blended. Emperor lasts around 16 hours...yesterday I applied it at 8 a.m. (opening: a bright pineapple blast) then at around midnight I was detecting intermittent whiffs of birch. During the day it retained a woody pineapple vibe, then in the final hours the birch note came in to play. This is the best alternative to Aventus - highly recommended!
