I'm in two minds.
The Ispazon is already a somewhat older fragrance from PdM and not too well known and widely represented. I've always wanted to test it and have now done so.

Yes, what can I say? Admittedly, it's not quite my DNA.
It starts with fresh, citrusy notes, but this is immediately accompanied by a certain spiciness that I personally don't quite warm to.
Something bothers me and for whatever reason I get a slightly caraway-like and even almost sweaty impression. That's the point that bothers me.
It is also greenish and slightly "herbaceous".

I like it better over time. This unpleasantness for me recedes somewhat and I perceive a great cedar wood. This is really beautifully incorporated into the fragrance.
The longer the fragrance lies on the skin, the more *almost* creamy impressions come through for me. Amber and vanilla discreetly worked into a musky blanket. I like that!

All in all, a fragrance that you should have tested, as these PdM fragrances are hardly ever mentioned.

Between "Black Beauty" and "Little Uncle"
Ispazon is already a very special horse from the Parfums de Marly stable. And unfortunately I don't really warm up to him.

Although he calls some not so inverted scents in his structure, the interplay doesn't really harmonize - at least not for my nose.

Especially at the start, this crumbly, unclean citrus/lime note gets on my nerves, which strangely enough reminds me of "Boris Becker" by LR, the perfume taillight, so to speak. This is really a very bad start.

If you let the fragrance run a little, the cedar wood comes out more and more, but more and more dusty and harsh and accompanied by sweaty undertones, which one would actually associate with cumin and have something of a wet horse blanket here.

Towards the end, Ispazon becomes even more woody with a warm musky flank, but then the whole steed has more or less fallen into the well, which means that nothing can be saved at this stage, although some appealing approaches shine through, which must be denied by the indicated ingredients orange, lily of the valley, amber and vanilla.

The horse breed Ispazon is, as some pre-commentators have already written, a mixture of black noble Frisians (I somehow have raps like "Black Beauty" in mind, but it certainly belongs to another breed) and Iberian warmbloods. Sounds rich in content, but when I was sniffing around, I was thinking more of "Little Uncle", the spotted white horse (more precisely a Knabstrupper) from Pippi Longstocking.

I'm sorry for all the PdM fanboys, but apparently Ispazon was such a lame bitch in terms of sales, that this eau de parfum was shot and removed from the program.

Cedar Siesta
"Ispazon" always gets lost next to "Layton", "Godolphin" or other bestsellers of the brand... he wouldn't have to!

It's a light, sharp-citric cedar daydreamer that you can still call an insider's tip after almost a decade on the market - is that great or a disgrace? Well, I discovered him for myself and I'm very happy about it. I always like cedars in scents, but I haven't experienced them that way yet.

Sunny, southern, warm. Naked and dressed up. Naturalness without borders. No man can do anything wrong with that, ever and ever. Unless you can't do anything with cedars and the wood takes its certain "sweatiness" crooked. Otherwise, this is big class. Human at a high level. Spicy, laidback, a perfect blend. Can carry man discreetly dosed deep into midsummer. Chilli sweating in the shadow of the cedars... what a picture!

Flacon: heavy, thick glass, small dumbbells almost. High-quality.
Sillage: very self-confident but relaxed
Shelf life: no weakness here either - 7 hours min.

Conclusion: a beautifully relaxed, sunny cedar scent, at first tangy with lime, spicy with laurel and later relaxed becoming purer and purer. Never sweet, never arbitrary. Masculine and sexy. Underestimated! An absolute tip in the range of Parfums de Marly, which should be clawed before it is discovered (or even worse: discontinued!). Wonderful!
