a plunge into India's beguiling flower garden
I stand in front of the shelf full of perfumes in a well-known Munich perfumery and let my gaze wander over the various bottles. It stops at the fragrances from Parle Moi de Parfum, the name of the fragrance: Gardens of India/79. The name alone arouses my curiosity and since I already own and love Totally White/126, I decide to take a closer look at this fragrance today.

I pick up the bottle and carefully open the heavy magnetic lid. In a fraction of a second, a beguiling fragrance wafts towards me. It's as if, like Alice in Wonderland, I plop into a blooming garden, albeit a very grown-up garden.
The combination of jasmine absolute, tuberose and sandalwood is simply seductive and, at first, quite a lot at once. But this first impression evaporates within the first few minutes. After that, Gadens of India is a wonderfully soft, fruity tuberose-jasmine cream with a flattering hint of sandalwood. It's as if my skin is being touched by a silk scarf - creamy, soft, gentle, sexy and caressing. The Indian garden scores points for its charm and elegance.

The jasmine absolute gives the fragrance a sweet and fruity note. I feel like I'm in the middle of a sea of jasmine flowers, surrounded by their alluring beauty. But it is never indolic.
The Indian tuberose joins in and gives the fragrance an even fruitier nuance. It's like biting into a basket of ripe fruit - juicy, sweet and creamy. The tuberose is also tame and doesn't even remind me for a second of the typical Huba-Buba note.

But the highlight of this fragrance for me is the sandalwood from New Caledonia, more precisely the "sandalwood album". This is the noblest variety of sandalwood, which originally grew in India but is now almost impossible to find there. However, the sandalwood note only really comes into its own later on. In the course of the top and heart notes, however, the woody note softens the powerful floral/fruity nuances.

I really like Gardens of India because it is simply incredibly beautiful. It is never annoying or intrusive, but absolutely suitable for everyday use. It envelops me like a scarf or a luxurious and exotic veil. It is simply a tribute to this country, which is so rich in raw materials. It reminds me of the colorfulness and diversity of India. Only without the spices.

A beautiful, very feminine fragrance, definitely worth testing, very pleasant but strong. You really have to like tuberose and jasmine.
H+S are very good and P/L in this case absolutely justified.
