A wonderling with Chanel Vibe
I bought the fragrance blind at TKMaxx, after reading through Minigolf's Komi and after a lot of thinking back and forth. Inspired by the Komi, I thought I'd buy it as an example of the "green nature" fragrance for my collection and as a replacement for the expensive, nice (but not quite convincing) "Bloom: Acqua di Fiori" by Gucci.
Well, "Pearl Verte" can't meet my expectations. That's no ordinary kind of green scent. "Pearl Verte" is strangely different, I feel this pearl as a little wonder on the thin tightrope walk between very chic and really horrible.
"Perle Verte" is not a naturally smelling scent of a forest or a meadow for my sensation, in my opinion it doesn't want to be that either: it is very artificial, artificial. Very complex. And has a certain Chanel Vibe (I'm thinking of No. 19 and No. 19 Poudre), especially in the base, in the finale.
An information for the time being: fragrance keeps the whole long day on the skin, has a reserved sillage and an interesting course.
He starts off charmingly acidic-lightly bitter, unsweet-artificial-green-even a little animalistic, very unique-I haven't smelled anything like it yet. This, quite long beginning is not the best part of the process, in my opinion. A light floral note is added later and makes the fragrance a little softer and more pleasant to wear. There already begin my associations with Chanel fragrances, which are further confirmed at the end of the fragrance - the basis of the "pearl" is beautifully old-fashioned in a good sense of the word: soft, warm, round, sweet (subtle), powdery green with a hint of bitterness (vl. by the cloves). And the base lasts for several hours, then dissolves completely at the end in a sweet make-up-like skin scent. Feminine, very charming, very varied, different from the others. I like him now. Worth a test.
