False carnality
For most perfumers, jasmine is actually the queen of flowers - but for botanists it is definitely the orchid, as it is considered particularly beautiful. Accordingly, the orchid is used metaphorically for something exquisitely attractive and rare - of course also in connection with a sexual connotation.
And then when Paul Emilien associates his orchid with Charnelle, i.e. carnally, he will probably have had very sensual ulterior motives.
That's okay ... but somehow the flesh of the grapefruit prevailed more strongly over everything.
Certainly, this Eau de Parfum offers many floral notes and impressions, paired with fresh accents of green tones, but the grapefruit has the hat on here for me - and a really big one.
This interplay does create an elegant summery fruity top note, it's just that it doesn't have that much to do with the theme and lasts for a very limited time. In addition, Orchidée Charnelle is clearly a women's fragrance, although I see the even rather on young women without wanting to start a gender and age discussion now.
Those will probably be happier with the perfume than I am. After all, it's no secret that I do not necessarily favor delicate floral scents on myself and have carried out the test exclusively with me alone on a rainy Sunday at my home.
Otherwise, a this is a solid more tart than sweet tangy grapefruit scent with subtle floral accessories.
