Penhaligon's - An obituary of headless, vegetarian scents, fourth prank
Lemons and limes are different types of citrus fruit, but have similar characteristics and can therefore be used in the same way, for example in the kitchen. In contrast to the lemon, however, the lime has, in addition to a somewhat milder acidity, characteristic aromatic-spicy flavours, which I personally appreciate very much. So I prefer to drink a Whiskey Sour with a mixture of lemon and lime juice, sometimes even only with the latter.
Penhaligon's must have taken the introductory sentence literally, since Extract of Limes is basically simply a lime twist on the classic Eau de Cologne, which olfactorically adopts the aromas mentioned. Neroli and Petitgrain seem to only support the extremely naturalistic image of the lime. This fragrance concept is very simply knitted, but it works brilliantly.
All in all, a somewhat different, but at least as refreshing cologne with a durability typical of the genre, whose variety in summer I really appreciate
And, by the way: In these crazy times, mood enhancers like this fine, invigorating water can work wonders - good mood from the bottle! And the short shelf life causes high-frequency mood boosts - you just have to drink a lot and often :D Another pleasant side effect, due to the alcohol solution Extract of Limes also has a disinfecting effect.
