Better safe than sorry and double is better!
I like to play it safe, which means I almost always have a plan B for uncertain plans, know about an alternative route for car trips, and sometimes go back to see if the door is really locked and the light is turned off. I rarely run out of anything, because as soon as the last package or bottle is opened, new supplies are on their way. Stockpiling is no stranger to us and a few more unannounced guests are still satiated. Rose bouquets with the scent of Tea Rose to spray on the other hand is not a glory I'm proud of, but double keeps better and safe is safe and it works.

The EdT perfume Tea Rose of Perfumer's Workshop there is to buy for lukewarm, makes also flakonmäßig not much and in fragrance notes it contains mainly rose along with various additions. Nothing special, one would think, were it not for this fantastic scent of roses, bedding roses, climbing roses, wild and noble roses, shrub and dwarf roses, whole bushes or hedges of these noble, prickly beauties. One could think one had unadulterated natural concentrate in perfection in the flacon. Justifiably, the chemists of the Swiss flavor and fragrance manufacturer Firmenich can pat themselves on the back, because rarely has the synthesis of nature succeeded so authentically.

If the perfume Tea Rose is sprayed, you immediately think you are in the middle of a field, bed or garden full of roses of various species. The fragrance is strong, dense, lush and full. It is a mixture of various rose facets and reminds me strongly of the rich smell of wild and peasant roses, not standing in the vase, but with all the foliage and earth, although I do not really recognize them, but to smell them in sum in this extraordinary rose aroma. Thus, the rose smell develops a striking depth in which both fresh, fruity notes and dark, spicy aromas come to the fore.

Over the course of a day, the fragrance remains as rosy as it is, there is no development. The fragrant rose bouquet stands like one and does not let a feeling of artificiality arise at any time. The elegant fascination of this perfume lies for me in the straightforwardness and authenticity of its rose fragrance, just rose and nothing but rose.

What do I do now with this so great fragrance, whose rose smell is so very pleasant to me? I will not wear it. He does not fit me, as I also find, he is with no man really well kept. Maybe with a woman? Perhaps? I can imagine it, but I'm not really convinced. Since I like the scent of roses very much, I started to spray Tea Rose a little bit around, bathroom, toilet, also sometimes in the living rooms, on the painted gift flower pictures of the grandchildren, linen closet, laundry garbage can, even the car had to hold out. That was all ok, but really success brought only the scenting of my flowers to be given away - especially the bouquets of roses. The bridal bouquet of my wife was also a bouquet of roses and so of course she gets one again every year for her anniversary. Today's bouquets, even the single roses, are barely fragrant and so this year I used Tea Rose for the third time. One saturated spray deep into the bouquet and two as a fine mist on top brings happy eyes galore! Such a fragrant, beautifully tied bouquet of roses really makes a statement and I'm happy to give it my promising recommendation. Bad conscience? No, and if then rather because of the roses from Africa.

By the way, the term tea rose is used ambiguously! Once a culture rose breed is meant, which has its roots in China and with which the origin of the name goes back to different interpretations. Secondly, the term tea rose or tea flower refers to small, inconspicuous, round or lumpy works of art made of green tea, which infused in a glass pot, unfold into wonderful flowers / roses and offer in addition to tasty tea also what for the eye.

So who likes an authentic rose scent, comes to the perfume Tea Rose badly past and should treat themselves to this experience. I'm going to buy a bouquet of roses (times out of turn) and thank you very much to all readers.

I'm four again...
Tea Rose: simple, red garden rose... - as a child I picked rose petals and put them in water ; I was four years old when I was there. Then I was very surprised that I didn't find any rose water the next day, crushed the rose petals with my fingers and rubbed me with this flower mash.
Doesn't it really sound like a beautiful rose experience? But, for me it was fascinating, I loved this greenish watery, grassy flowery smell. My mother amused herself about my rose water experiments, then immediately explained to me that unfortunately no durable rose perfume can be produced in this way, which saddened me very much.
Luckily, in my adult life, there's Tea Rose!
"Tea Rose" captures exactly that rose scent from my childhood. It is not an elaborate perfume, not a complex creation, does not smell of multifaceted, heavy rose oil based on patchouli or the like and does not undergo any development.
In his "Perfume Guide" Luca Turin names Anna Buzantian as the nose behind "Tea Rose" and describes the fragrance as one of the first niche fragrances ever. That again I find very exciting, because personally the simplicity of "Tea Rose" fascinates me so much and The Perfumer's Workshop is not normally considered a "niche house" today.
Also the price of "Tea Rose" does not speak at present for "niche", for 14 € one finds in the net a 120 ml bottle of the carefree rose summer happiness.
By the way, "Tea Rose" has much more fans in other forums than here. On Fragrantica it is really celebrated by many users (and that for years). I even have a perfume buddy who thinks he can't live without Tea Rose.
I wouldn't go that far.
The memory of the rose hedge in our garden, of my bowl with the collected flowers is enough for me... - innocent scent of a carefree childhood

Roses, Roses, Roses
WOW!!! This is STRONG!!! Even for me ... but a wonderful deep, rich rose right on the bush! I don't think I've ever said this about a fragrance before ... this one will have to be treated gently when sprayed. It could very well be a killer!! I just received this in the mail untested on my skin (I knew someone who wore it about 15 years ago and loved it on her) and gave my left arm 5 healthy blasts! That was a half hour ago and I am still reeling :o) ... albeit happily so. Looking forward to the development of this one!!

Update:
About an hour in and the 'rubbery' note has disappeared (I have a sneaky suspicion it may have been the tuberose) and I'm having a cigarette ... I think this would be incredible layered over a tobacco note. Very happy chappy here :o) ... as far as I am concerned this is a unisex frag. Why should gals be the only one's to smell so divine?

And a little bit more about this fabulous fragrance:

I managed to snap up a vintage 50ml bottle of this also. I will wear the re-formulation as much as I have been (I use it as a day scent in the Salon I work in from time to time on a tropical island)and simply just LOVE it.

The vintage variety, however, is an animal of a different nature. I am told that this particular bottle hails from the early 80's ... which I have no way of confirming ( I wish frag companies would date the bottles!!) or disputing. The box is a slightly deeper shade of grey with the label being a little more ivory than my new bottles have been. The juice is also a more golden colour and the sprayer seems better than the current version ... still plastic, but more opaque. The fragrance itself is pure heaven ... richer, deeper and rounder than the one I have become accustomed to with way more Sandalwood in the base. It's EFFING fabulous!!! I will keep this one for special and continue using the other for day ... 'reformulation' is fast becoming one of the dirtiest words in my vocabulary. Thankfully Ebay abounds with vintage bottles of this ... track one down ... you'll be so glad you did!

Update:

Not as many vintage bottles left as I thought!! Will definitely have to preserve mine ...

Tea or no tea, this is the question?!
Hello sniffers! Welcome to a new fragrance comment from me!
Today I sniff a fragrance that was sent to me by a very nice Parfuma and which had immediately aroused my interest. Sure, you can already guess that this is certainly due to the fact that the term "Tea", so tea appears in the name. You know that I have to sniff everything that has to do with tea.

Alright, this is more about the tea rose though. Not to mention that I've never seen a tea rose or, more likely, didn't recognize these flowers upon sighting (I mean, what do I know about plants?? :D), these roses are supposed to actually smell like tea. Other theories as to why these roses are called tea roses say that the Chinese liked to have the roses planted at their tea gardens. Or that these roses were transported from Asia to Europe stored in tea chests. There are still some theories about the origin of the name, but firstly I do not want to bore you with it and secondly I am personally only interested in whether these roses really smell like tea.

Well... then I fill me a glass of tea (although I'm in Turkey right now and we drink tea here constantly at any time of day and every opportunity... I PLATZE right away, not to mention that I have to go to the bathroom constantly because of all the tea!!! :D) and sniff times at the fragrance!

The fragrance:
At the beginning, the fragrance immediately smells of roses as well as a slightly powdery sweetness. Chamomile I smell afterwards also, which are a little weak but quite still smellable and which also remind me a little of my Kamill hand cream :D
A slightly watered down and floral scent is also present, I can not quite identify, but guess here on lilies.
Tea... well, I wouldn't necessarily say that the roses here really smell like tea. Most likely I would guess here because of the chamomile on chamomile tea, which is also quite nice.
After a short while, the scent begins to smell much more intense roses, and now and then then even a small tea scent comes to one, but this I can also imagine, because I really want to smell tea!
Anyway, it also smells later most of roses, the tea scent then actually hardly occurs, but there's fresh-looking, green notes. Perhaps still a few light woods and sweetish notes, and that's it. All in all still okay, actually even nice, but still highly unspectacular.

The sillage and the durability:
The sillage is okay, the fragrance is neither particularly strong nor really weak, so that it could be perceived for a while up close on one. The shelf life is surprisingly long and lasts on the skin (although later weak) for over twelve hours. Partially I could smell the scent very weak even the next morning still in the sprayed place.

The bottle:
The bottle is rectangular and filled with yellowish fragrance liquid. On the front you can see a dark silver label, the lid is chrome and cylindrical. Okay, but nothing special.

Conclusion:
Soo... well... I must admit that I am now not so much excited about this fragrance. He smells unfortunately not strong enough after tea, that he would be interesting for me and on rose fragrances I stand personally also not so much. But of course, the fragrance is not grottenschlecht and that's just my personal opinion, because rose lovers could definitely do something with the fragrance, because it smells loose and partly also green-fresh, but the fragrance still lacks a little variety or something special. Thus, the fragrance makes something of the impression of a simple, 0815er rose fragrance, which has no particular strengths to offer and thus belongs more to the fragrances that you test once and then forget again with great probability. Otherwise, the fragrance is intended for spring and summer, where you could use it as a loose and simple day fragrance.

So you can already test it if you want, but should not have too many expectations. I also find that there are better rose fragrances. Apart from that, I am as I said slightly disappointed that I smell little to hardly tea here, which was the main reason why I tried the fragrance. Well, one (s) just can not have everything, I know that even from women you would like to have and... uhh... yes,... well :D

I can now console myself with the fact that I could still drink a cup of tea, or for a change also Turkish coffee, even if I then run the risk that one would like to "read" afterwards necessarily the rest of my coffee, which one then traditionally turns over, so that the viscous rest can run on the small plate on which the cup is placed. This is a kind of fortune telling, which does not interest me at all and I besides for years already always the same Leier hear from all the "fortune tellers":
"You're coming to a great success soon; something unexpected full of positive things is about to happen; you're going to find a great woman!" .... pffft.... If all this were true, I would be an astronaut, have had countless great women to date, and be a billionaire! Coffee fortune teller.... really... :DD

Well then, that's it again. I wish you all a nice evening, then until next time :)

Rich Scent, Poor Scent
On my desk is a 50 ml bottle of perfume that cost my husband $220. Next to it is a 120 ml bottle of perfume that cost me $14.99 and I see it can be had for less (currently $8.49 at The Perfume Spot). The first one is FM's Une Rose, the second is Tea Rose by The Perfumer's Workshop. The top notes are different -- Tea Rose flowery, Une Rose full of dank, armomatic wine lees, dark geranium and the herbal, apple-like blue chamomile. Tea Rose's ultra flowery top note quickly dissipates, though, while Une Rose's top does not. What we're left with is a wearable, beautifully realistic quite woody, ambery rose in Tea Rose and a beautifully realistic ISO-Supery dark one in Une Rose that could be considered less wearable, reeking throughout as it does, if majestically in my opinion. Do I think Une Rose is worth 25 times more? No! These are country and city cousins, both utterly gorgeous, one rich, one poor.

p.s. Having since looked up the history, I see I'm not by myself. When it was introduced in '72, Tea Rose became an "instant classic" adored by Princesses Grace of Monaco and Diana, among illustrious others, its creator a maverick who meant for everyone to enjoy his perfumes.

Realistic rose petals with green stems and leaves, very much like stepping into a florist's fridge. Not my style, but I can appreciate it.

A scent as delicate as that of a rose should not be as loud as a car alarm. Impossible to not overspray this one
