The desert prince
There we have it!
Another one of those mysterious fragrances that initially scare you off with a good slap in the face, only to reveal a noble composition afterwards.

This desert prince does not make it easy for me, his world seems strange and closed to me at first.

Not that I should admit defeat with this kind of animalism.
No, quite the opposite, here the house once again proves its best quality.
It is this incredibly dry and dusty atmosphere that made me despair at first.

Here is another attempt.

Hiss!

What a strange opening!
Earthy patchouli sets the coordinates, the dusty desert welcomes you.
And immediately, natural papyrus scrolls are spread out to tell a story from the Emirates. One that describes the rapid structural development and expensive motorization despite the adherence to traditions.

The scent becomes drier and drier, I can literally smell the desert sand.

Or is it a lemon citron?
This citrusy fruit seems trapped, constricted by earthy and woody notes.
The ruthlessness of the seraglio.

The desert prince slowly approaches me in his immaculate white robe.
Olive green eyes, stern gaze, like this olive note amidst the woods.
Perhaps he masterfully defeats a falcon on his leather-protected forearm.

And the prince smells quite masculine under the bright sun, thanks to cumin and saffron.
But he wouldn't be a nobleman if the jasmine didn't exude this floral, virile elegance.
So he has mastered the cleanliness required on the Arabian Peninsula.

His homeland underwent a colossal transformation.
Buildings that surpass themselves in height with the help of what is technically possible, literally built on sand.
And I can sense this in the scent.
The dusty sand leaves room for a slightly metallic note, sourly infiltrated by vetiver.
The steel frame of the skyscrapers.
The interior design of these modern palaces of the skies is dignifiedly woody, austere and purist. Several types of wood were carpentered by master craftsmen.

The freedom-loving citrus fruit is also held captive here. Thanks to Elemi, her whimpers echo in the expensive alcoves as she searches in vain for an escape.

She is drugged with smoky hashish. Not over the top, no, well-dosed and skillful, so that no one here drifts off indecently.
The subtle intoxication as a substitute for insight.
This is how he tries to calm his conscience, because giving in would be a sign of weakness.

I do not overstretch his hospitality and would like to say goodbye.
The image of citrine captivity is too much for me.

Well-mannered, he drives me to the special-class international airport in his tailor-made twelve-cylinder vehicle from Maranello.
An oily note in the base tells me about the engineering achievement from Italy, the engine of his white sports car leaves nothing to be desired.

And so we say goodbye.
He is spicy and dry with an elegant wooden posture and commanding olive-green eyes.
I am stirred by the contrasts of sandy, built-up oases and the pain of citrus fruit.

Salam, dear prince!

Genius!!!
This fragrance is so unspeakably ingenious that a long essay about it already seems unnecessary to me.

Because with the best will in the world, you don't have to convince anyone of this fragrance. This scent convinces itself and breaks volumes. It is extremely strong and whips the wearer's face violently when applied. It stuns the nose and develops continuously into a dreamlike complexity that is hard to beat for this price. PM could charge a multiple of the price for this fragrance, because it is brimming with high quality. It's in a league with RDs' UAE, but despite the strong petrol note, it delivers a completely different fragrance experience. One can describe him badly, but in short he seems to me strongly balsamic, resinous with a light sharp citric head. No rose, no floral hints... Simple and touching incense, papyrus, spices and woods in petrol.

This fragrance provokes and demands everything from the wearer and his environment. Next to it, AAAP, The Night and all other Aoud sledgehammer versions look like a light EdT.

If you are looking for a fragrance with maximum extroversion and projection, you will find it here.

One of the most beautiful and strongest Aouds on the current market. Hardly anybody manages to outbid him in terms of performance.

I can't imagine it in a lady. This fragrance is bursting with virility. An absolutely round and charismatic provocateur. If you don't have one, you're missing out on something big!

Welcome to the Arabian Emirates
You close your eyes and you are in another country.

What do I imagine when I smell that scent?

I smell the Arab Emirates. I smell OUD, wood, smoke and petroleum
What does this fragrance want to embody?
An oil sheikh, with lots of money. That's what he smells like Here you meet a sheikh directly in front of his farm where oil is tapped. This scent manages to bring you right there. A real AOUD scent
That's all there is to say, he speaks for himself. Who loves oriental scents should try this fragrance

Tell me what your heart wants..such a simple thing.
-with the Ray Lamontagne's lyrics from the song "Such a simple thing".

There comes a day in each of our lives when the whole world gets quiet and the only thing left is the sound of your own heartbeat. - that moment is usually the time when we reflect on our past and our future often neglecting and ignoring the present and the beautiful moment we are currently living in. This fragrance sorta have that contemplative calming effect on me and is my favorite fragrance to wear when I am alone with my own thoughts, before bed, staying in or going out hiking in the mountains or in the deep woods. It helps me to connect with myself and with nature and it also helps me in realizing who am I and what am I doing with my life. Makes me appreciate the moment I am living in, also reflecting on my past in more positive way and seeing the future more brighter.

The real Sun in my fragdrobe!

My favorite incense, dry woods, with that sorta smokey meditative oud, fragrance!

Perris Monte Carlo / Oud Imperial Extrait

Oud Imperial Edp has been known for about 10 years, while his younger brother - EXTRACT - by half the time.
The question is whether it is worth getting to know EXT when you have already met EdP and how do they differ from each other.
In my opinion, it is worth (I have EdP), and everything concerns the differences between the 'brothers', or rather differences in ingredients, types (quality), their acquisition, concentrations and proportions. Thus:
The EXT version is a version that is by definition more essential, fat, with 30% oil concentration and improved in terms of selected ingredients (their natural extraction from the areas they come from) of maximum quality, and created anew by Luca Maffei in terms of composition.
As for the ingredients:
-2 times increased concentration of agar oils (Cambodian oud)
-vetiver (roots) obtained from Java
- birch tar was added - thus increasing the smoke of the extract (previously there was no this component)
- the opening of the fragrance (head) was lightened (I do not want to say that it was acidified ) with other ingredients - cypriol and citrus
- the quantity and quality of labdanum has been increased, also from the very beginning of the fragrance
-thanks to the addition of the 'ambrarome' absolute in the base, as well as the Gurjun balm, the fragrance was balsamic, its amber, but also slightly animated.
When it comes to proportions, quality and their combination - the changes are noticeable and in my opinion EXT is an evening fragrance and certainly 'more elegant', but still has its darkness similar to its older brother. Sometimes a certain leathery also comes out of it.
The main backbone of this fragrance is created around labdanum (increased quantity and quality, with increased smokiness of birch tar) - agar (x2 with increased quality) - patchouli (I have the impression that its share has been reduced) - dry and dusty wood - embalming
Oh, and the agar used here - supposedly natural and from the Cambodian region. We certainly do not have a faecal pickup here - so do not be afraid. You will feel the difference between EdP and EXT, because in my opinion it was not used in the EdP version (I suspect that it was a synthetic ingredient), or in a very small amount.
Durability and EXT projection on the very good level, while the smell can sit closer to the body (due to the density and oiliness of the extract).
I definitely recommend it.
