Mud on her feet but a lady at heart
Brief history - Patchouli - for me as a sniffing novice it was a new world that opened up, isn't that the weird stuff from the esoteric store, back in the 80s? But it captivated me, I had to experience it, I bravely ordered a bottling, supposedly beginner patchouli. Sprayed.... oh that's good, enraptured with my nose on my arm I start my day's work, but oops, where did the scent go, did it go away? What a pity. The perfumer who sent it to me said it lasts a long time with her....I'll try it again, sprayed it on boldly, regardless of the damage to my skin and clothes - I don't care if my horses like it - none of them complained.
And suddenly there it is, a warm, earthy cloud, Patchouli Nosy Be (with E, not I I was enlightened), you are my best friend when I hop from the shower into everyday life on the eternally gray morning. Vanilla warm earth vibes that caress me, a motherly hug - that's what I like when I head out into the eternally gray-cold winter, you powdery earth cloud with flashes of lemon, you smile at me when I trudge very inelegantly through the mud in my rubber boots and horses' noses brashly demand their breakfast. I'm not wearing a designer coat, only stable wear to keep me warm, but pah, the scent is still the finest. I wake up my cold fingers with thoughts of the aromatic dry summer air that will make life easier in a few months' time. You form the bracket from the morning start until I'm all dressed up for the office, yes I admit, like me, Nosey Be has mud on his feet, but at heart he's a racy lady.
