Interesting Facts

Phaedon, in line with ancient Greece, is a perfume house launched in 2011 by two Parisian aesthetes A. Philippe and M. Stromberg, who are also great travelers and fans of ancient cultures. After initially establishing itself with a few niche fragrances, the brand hit its peak in 2013.

In that year, master perfumer Pierre Guillaume relaunched "Phaedon" with a new and refined brand identity. Because of the fresh and straightforward nature of the fragrances, the name "Phaedon" was chosen. It refers to Phaedo of Elis, a high born slave, who became a disciple of Socrate's teachings around 400 BC. The company logo of Assyrian griffins, which can be found on all products, also corresponds to this approach.

Phaedon's portfolio mainly includes luxurious and high-end perfumes. Linear and simple ingredients, as well as rare, unusual or exotic aromas such as Málaga wine, terracotta or truffle are used during the development of every refined fragrance.

In addition to smooth and simple fragrances, Phaedon now offers a line of candles and home fragrances, carefully handled and curated by a group of outsourced experts. For example, the scented candles were entrusted to special candle masters from Paris.

On its homepage, Phaedon provides a so-called perfume advisor.
