Quite massive, somewhat one-dimensional Vetiver-Erdreich-Incense Number
I try to avoid the word "forest" as of NOW, because it was used 133 times below to characterize "Monsieur". I read something of ultragrüner variant of "Jubilation XXV", and at the place it would be nevertheless times interesting to use.
It's my first Guillaume fragrance and you can read a lot of mediocre things about him here at Parfumo, but without a doubt this "Monsieur" seems to stand out.
Well, I can understand what the cross-reference to "jubilee" means. Although a completely different aroma style, the "body" (to use the wine language) resembles that of Amouage. Spreading out the arms, "ventilating", without being too tightly packed inside.
Meanwhile: I say - and here I have to think of "Encre Noire" - the aromatic saturation by vetiver (or rather unfortunately the often used, nervig-planar vetiverylacetat), incense, moss and papyrus is not quite closed, the building blocks are in their quite striking spread quite quickly (over)saturating, somehow also tiring.
In any case, there is not much room for free associations, one is forced with quite great force to sniff around with one's nose in the soil of nature and with pine twigs gibt´s still another one on the back...
Somewhat harassing and out back also too one-dimensional, I would like to mean.
