Who put citrus on the cinnamon here? Oh that's an accessory to the rose...
Oud...I don't know. That bit of musty breeze in the back there maybe?
My mother thinks it's great, I think it's awful.
After an hour, at least the rose is no longer quite so penetrating but good is something else. So after two, three hours, the projection is then dropped from 'I jump you annoyingly in the nose' on skin proximity, the composition is therefore not better for me.
Whoever gave me this sample was probably similarly disappointed as I was.

I apologize formally already times to all who like this fragrance.
And handwork and perfume art in all honor. But to dump kilos of rose on oud and then lead the spectacle with all sorts of accessories into the absurd, is not nice and with the adjective 'absolute' or 'total' in the name, other expectations are also aroused. The only thing that is quite total (annoying) in Oud Assoluto is the rose. That ultimately also ensures that even in the moment that there is suddenly a minimal breeze of oud and wood, the overall work of art is still off-putting. And what is still clearly recognizable towards the end of his time, is this damn rose.
The house no longer has a chance with me. And I now an aversion more to rose fragrances that want to stain themselves with oud.

Oh yeah, a masculine scent this is supposed to be. Well if Cruella de Vil is masculine, then this perfume is masculine. Mea culpa, ew.

Florentine Gentleman
Pineider has been a byword for style and craftsmanship in Florence for over 240 years. If the roots lie more in special, very noble paper goods and writing utensils, the brand has consistently developed further in terms of noble lifestyles and, in addition to upmarket leather goods, has now also offered fragrances in its range since 2011. Following the representative tradition, these are staged in an inconceivably noble way.

Already when you hold the long wooden box in your hands, with the small name tag, an aura of the special already surrounds you. The mahogany wood wants to be touched. After the seal has been broken and the metal clip opens, the lid swings to the side and reveals a view of the silver flacon lid from above. This is set in leather. If you carefully slide the bottle out of its container, it turns out to be a heavy clear glass vial. Beautiful and monolithic.

Already with the first spraying the scent picks me up. If I had rather typed on an oriental theme for the round of notes, Oud Assoluto would have surprised me. It's citrus-woody from the beginning. So it's an oud that produced rather citric, minimal medical notes. The floral notes so finely work out and model precisely this citrus aspect that it is almost impossible to discern other chords even at the beginning. Interestingly, the mood and composition reminds me of my current signature fragrance, Boadicea the Victorious - Midnight. There are also no citric chords in the pyramid and yet they are setting the tone.

Oud Assoluto floats and shines. Gives an incredibly noble aura. The fragrance is present, but not intrusive. He's escorting. Has strength and endurance. Without having to play yourself into the foreground. And he's a gentleman through and through.
