Another, for me very necessary, flanker! :D
I ask the previous speaker Maltek to consider this not as a contradiction but as an extension of his execution!
His commentary certainly reflects the opinion and taste of many, if not most people here, about the Prada L'Homme line.
Unfortunately for me, however, L'Homme Intense is too sweet, untamed and lacks any counterbalance. (See my commi on this ...)
So I was all the more curious when I realized that there is secretly a more intensive "half-brother" of this fragrance line! :)
I have to agree with you on one point:
You know one Prada L'Homme, you know them all. The DNA is unmistakably contained in all of them, and in every blind test I would recognize each of them as Prada L'Homme
But for me, Prada L'Homme Absolu is the little bit less sweet than Intense, and with the cardamom (or whatever it really is) the little bit more counterbalance to the sweetness, so it saves me the overall picture.
Absolu is a little bit more balanced, that it is in contrast to Intense for me really wearable and enjoyable, even if the difference to his close family members is really not big.
So let's say a small but for me decisive difference.
So for the 0815 consumer of ignorant nature, who at the behest of his life partner(s) once in 2 years gets a sweet scent for the winter time, the difference is probably questionable when testing in a department store... L'Homme, Absolu, Intense, are in ascending order mainly more intense.
That little difference in the notes and the tuning, is for enthusiasts.
For me, however, both aspects apply, the intensity is for me in Absolu on the edge of what is possible in this composition without overtaxing me.
And I like the light spice touch, even so good that I would have wished for much more of it.
I find, however, that the additional spice is not limited to the fleeting top notes, it also radiates softly but recognizably in the heart and base of the fragrance.
Yeah, that's it for me in a nutshell
So a sweet-woody, slightly spicy iris scent, with a little freshness in the luggage. And the iconic Prada L'Homme DNA, if you will, as the backbone
So for me it is these two, L'Homme & L'Homme Absolu, that I would or will get from the line.
Even if one can still say that all flankers of L'Homme have a certain redundancy in them, so they deserve the predicate "For fans", from my point of view.
I think the greatest thing is simply the original, and that is perfectly balanced and tuned, and should not be missing in any collection of the modern man ;)
