Get out of the way, I'm in a hurry!
Red Rush is Polo Red's 2018 flanker, a fruity aromatic that complements the line with a "speed", "adrenaline" proposal, which to me sounds more like "rush to launch another perfume". I say this because it's one of the flankers with the least longevity and substativity among the Polos, which ended up frustrating me a little, considering I'm a big fan, especially of the Red ones.

Curiously, on my skin it's more floral than fruity. The apple and pineapple notes don't stand out much, nor do they have any significant longevity. On my skin, it's much more aromatic, woody, and herbal than anything else.

It opens with a certain lemon citricity, a minty freshness and a bitter orange blossom. Soon, the body begins to reveal a sweet, fresh, open lavender, wrapped in dihydromyrcenol. It makes you think of "shaving products" and the common smell of "hair gel". It's a very generic accord, but clean and pleasant. Then it becomes slightly talc-like, musky and spicy.

The coffee I expected to find in the base is very shy, but the cedar is very evident, as well as the coumarin. It reminds me of many other popular perfumes without being exactly the same. I thought it sounded like more of the same, but it will please a lot of people anyway, those who are in a hurry to put something on and go, certainly.

What a fragrance?!
I don’t want to write a long and boring review with lots of metaphors and hidden messages. I will be clear and short, just a few words.

Red rush is a very good perfume for athletic types. I brings an image of you in a polo shirt, drinking mojito in your sails boat. Summer, Spring , sports, young, successful. That’s all.

Scent: 9
Longevity: 7.6
Radius: 9
Compliments: 5, just 1 in 1 year
Authenticity/ uniqueness: 7
Scent: Industrial, fresh, fruity and a bit synthetic
Overall: 8

Conclusion: A very good gift for this sports friend or someone who loves sea. It is not very unique and has a bit synthetic smell, though it is really fresh. A summer morning walk, or jogging, a business trip or meeting. In general it is a good smell for those who prefer to smell successful and want a morning fragrance and it’s price is not bad at all.

If you want to be successful, you have to ask the right questions. Aristotle
In the highly competitive mainstream market, there are only winners or losers.
The average is sifted out after one or two years, perhaps still placed on the lower shelves as a piece of broken goods. Manufacturers must ask more and more the right questions, be it about the recipe, the design or the entire mix, which is then created as a marketing plan.
Unfortunately, when it came to the fragrances of polo, the people in charge at Loréal always had the wrong questions on the agenda. Perhaps the products that Armani or Yves Saint Laurent did not make it into the top ranks were simply made to appear as Ralph Lauren.
For twenty-one years and four months Polo felt it never had a crowdpleaser in its portfolio again.
It's incomprehensible that Ralph Lauren's managers didn't take away the licence which has been with the French Multi since 1978 for a long time.
Perhaps the business lunches with france cuisine are simply too beautiful a new world for the Americans.
Otherwise one cannot explain this serbelnde mark Polo or Ralph Lauren under Loréal.
The last really good fragrances were Polo Blue or Polo Sport.
It has to be said that Loréal's marketing department also lacked a strategist to look after other brands such as Armani or Lancome. A more listless and unimaginative implementation is only known from the Playboy fragrances, the 007 bottles or whoever is still missing here, from the creator of the Boris-Becker fragrance.
None of Ralp Lauren's younger guard products exceed 7.5 at Parfumo.
Fortunately, there is only Fragrantica in the USA, otherwise the managers of Polo would surely have the people of Loréal produce only eyeliner with the big pony stamp for a long time now.
This Red Rush has again received more power and style, the first impression is completely relaxed and not as stinging and snotty as the Pony series. The fact that this nothing more becomes with the ponies one noticed unfortunately also only after the 123rd attempt.
Why is this red storm so much better than the other polos?
It closes the circle of the Polo Blue or Polo Sports. It goes into the aquatic variety, but without appearing too chemical and superficial. What a surprise, there is a really pleasant fragrance, which is suitable in summer. If the temperatures remain above the constant 30 degrees mark, you can only wear classics like chypre or light fougeres. Iris grenades or tiramis bombs, as they have been produced for quite some time, will go really well again in September.
Therefore this red is a positive surprise, it is recognizable in the duration a little over 5 hours, afterwards it becomes very close, for this kind of smell nevertheless a good choice. The base becomes woody and pleasant.
Even if pineapple is in it, no Aventus is visible or palpable, which is also an advantage in the age of too many clones. The Sillage is quite good for a rather light fragrance, it is definitely stronger than a Jil Sunder Men or a Cool water, which today is just a memory.
If the people of Loréal ask the right questions in the future like this, you probably won't have to wait two decades for the next mainstream star under the Polo and Ralph Lauren umbrella.
