I'll always be here for you, no matter what happens
With this scent I have meanwhile landed at a 9 to 9.5.
The dirt is gone...
No, not like that of course, but I find it rounder, the stable smell fades further into the background.

I'm here at McLeod's Daughters.
Alex and Claire.
They've known each other since they were in school.
Claire inherited a small farm,
and is struggling to keep it going.
Alex's father keeps putting obstacles in her way because he wants to buy the land.
But Alex and his brother
Help her again and again,
...when in need.
Alex seems like a good-for-nothing and womanizer,
Claire now has a child with a man from the city.
When the latter now wants to take the child away from her..........
Alex, although freshly showered,
a very light touch of
Stable on,
his leather jacket, slightly bacony from all the wearing,
is still emitting this
pleasant smell of a saddle,
that Claire loves so much.
Familiar, so familiar.
He takes out a bunch of roses behind his back,
the cheap ones from the gas station,
that hardly smell at all,
how could it be otherwise.
Circumstantially, he asks her to marry him.
First she laughs,
...but you can tell he means it.
She looks into his amber eyes...
And suddenly everything is clear,
He's there for her,
He will always be there for her,
Always has been, always will be.
She smiles at him
And it goes 'zoom'

This is all I can decipher here:
This leather, slightly dirty,
But only as much as is good,
That it smells so bad that leather couldn't smell much better.
A very very discreet rose
And in the base powdery soft, balsamic amber.
If you want to call it patchouli here,
i don't care.
It smells like my beloved Amber to me.
All the rest is an accessory, wonderfully harmonious, so nothing smells out.

The story around Claire and Alex is of course only slightly based on the real story and was bent by me to my liking for the fragrance story.

Authentic, sun-tanned, dirty
Oily it dripped off his leather glove. The work in the scorching heat in the blazing sunshine had made him suffer. Now he stayed here in the cool hall and did not really know how to go on. Not suspecting anything bad, he asked this quiet place to take a short break from his daily work. To recharge the battery. Then he suddenly saw this beast.
She crept towards him, snarling and bending her teeth. Ready to attack at any time. He had no more than his rough leather gloves with him, but they had never disobeyed him before. Sun-tanned, dark and stained they presented themselves. One could see the faithful service they had already rendered. In the heat they smelled of it and of a light film of oil. The beast started to jump, he got ready...
Unfortunately I can't be held responsible for you not being able to take your valerian tablets in time because of tension, so I'll stop here and tell you more about the fragrance :D
These oily, tanned and old leather gloves, this is actually Cuir Andalou and this scene is the wearing of Cuir Andalou, because this can not only be the equally extensively described old pair of leather gloves. It also represents for me a dust-covered, hunting predator. The last bath was a while ago.

Back to the fragrance: here the leather gains age through the earthy patchouli and changes its condition from new to intensively used. Thankfully, saffron is not really perceptible, only a certain aroma remains, which refines the leather.
In general, no savings were made on Bibergeil or Substitut. The leather is really leathery, brittle, biting; it's as if the old leather saddle wanted to shout again in the shimmering air of the desert that it was an animal, that there was still animalism in it. This animalism is not such that the living cow still stands beside it. Fortunately not. But the leather is coarse production, from every pore it simply smells of leather, old oil has discoloured and olfactorically influenced it.
There is nothing more to say, who really likes leather in an unembellished form, is in the right place. Cuir Andalou reminds me of an old cowboy saddle; qualitatively well made but tough because the history of mankind was not always about subtle nuances, it could also be wild west By the way: If you rather - and this is not meant disrespectfully - appreciate the scent of exclusively fine leather goods, you are wrong here. Who like me likes both (Zauberer600, please report to the reception ;D), should dare a test.

I know, today I will be brief but the fragrance is linear, uncompromising, it makes a statement. It's just great!

That's what leather smells like to me.
Rania J. currently has 8 perfumes in her portfolio. Her style is inspiring, because it reminds me of some indie houses. All the fragrances in the collection have a theme and are mostly oriental, even 'Lavande 44' has an oud note, which is rather rare.

With Rania's leather scent it is a little different. I find it less oriental, and whether it now smells typically Andalusian, I can't say. The first time I sniffed it I immediately thought of a very expensive leather jacket, one made of soft nappa. Better still, the jacket is inside a brand new luxury car.

On my skin, the fragrance starts directly with a leather accord of violet, saffron and this light rubbery note. Don't worry, it's exactly this note that makes the beginning so luxurious. After a few minutes the fragrance takes on a wonderful buttery, powdery note. The iris butter is there and is kept in perfect harmony by the bending axe.

Very slowly, Cuir Andalou gets darker and smokier. The oud, which is never too animalistic, gives the fragrance a great spicy aura.

With a shelf life of more than 12 hours, it doesn't run out of puff so quickly, and the Sillage is also impressive.

Of the 8 fragrances in my collection that have the word 'Cuir' or 'Leather' in their name, Rania's perfume is my favorite because it really smells like leather to me
Greetings to all. Patrick ;-)

Cuir Andalou
I was introduced to the house of Rania J via the wonderful Ambre Loup, but it didn't take me long to realise there were a few other noteworthy scents from this collection. Here I share my thoughts on the leather pillar.
