A meadow in the summer sun.
I have owned Rawda (a highly spiced animalic jasmine) since May 2014; it vies for my Number One Arabian Perfume spot with 1001 Nights by Ajmal.
The 'glass' top and blue 'gems' are made from a hard plastic or resin. The top holds a dipping stick that works very well (it dispenses a single drop of liquid without the need to touch the glass to the skin so the liquid in the bottle remains clean).
The bottle is heavy frosted glass, the size and shape of a very large hen's egg. The liquid is dark amber (burnt orange when held up to the light). The rest of the bottle is metal (blackened bronze in colour) and when handled smells like bronze.
Rich spice with lots of saffron, definite note of mace and a little less of the sweeter nutmeg, bitter myrrh, the sharpness of clove, a hint of liquoice, resinous, loads of jasmine and cardamom, floral, a little mothball. The dry down some hours later is musky and quite powdery, still with a bit of warm spice.
It has a very natural earthyness that works well with hot summer skin and perspiration - love it.
