Based on the bottle, it is very clear which fragrance was imitated
To my horror, I completely forgot to review the Kindlooks Man here. It wasn't that long ago that I was given a bottle as a gift. However, it was quickly emptied, as the shelf life of around 3-4 hours was very poor and the sillage was hardly any better. Does the bottle look familiar? Sure, it's also a "cheap dupe" of Le Mâle Eau de Toilette. But the fragrance is not bad at all.
The opening smells a little synthetic and alcoholic but still quite fresh with mint, floral lavender, citrusy bergamot and spicy-herbal tarragon as well as some cardamom. The heart note offers cinnamon and a hint of orange blossom. The base becomes a little earthy over time thanks to oakmoss, but I can still detect vanilla and balsamic notes of tonka bean, sandalwood and a little amber.
For me, the old batches of Le Mâle Eau de Toilette are unattainable. In terms of quality, however, I find the Kindlooks Man quite good, better than the Cabana Eau de Toilette and roughly on a par with the Cuba Gold Eau de Toilette.
