Timeless
Someone once told me time would haunt us like a predator for life. I would much rather believe that time is our companion who accompanies us on our journey and reminds us to enjoy every moment because he will not come back. What we leave behind is not as important as the way we lived. Because ultimately [...] we're all just mortal.
Jean Luc Picard
Gilded Age by Régime des Fleus
Gilded Age symbolizes the time, the golden times to be more precise. The perfume has in my imagination the shape of an old pocket watch. Antique and immeasurably valuable. A fine, golden, almost saffron yellow case. Dull and already a little matt on the surface. It has no engraving because time belongs to no one. It's just a loan! If you open it, you will see a tobacco-coloured dial that is as delicate and fine as the finest parchment. The ticking is soft to hear. A tick as soft as sound and smoke sounds to my ear. Fine and noble as the most precious oud. So soft and smoky tender. If you open it again and look into its innermost self, you will see its clockwork. You can see her soul. The precision mechanics of infinity. Finest gear wheels and filigree feathers in the finest gold can be admired. Gently they fit together like the infinite love of two people. Well oiled with precious truffle oil. Earthy and indescribably warm and fine in fragrance, it lays around her golden bowels. Protecting like a divine blessing. The hands and numbers are made of the most delicate leather and adorn the wonderful dial. Like most precious Ambraharz they glide gently there with deepest and most sensual movements. What a beautiful, timeless masterpiece!
Conclusion
Gilded Age represents the golden age. The golden times everyone had or has for themselves. If gold really had a smell, it would be more than aptly depicted. Finest, smoked Oud combines with delicate, earthy-warm truffle oil. Saffron in the richest and dimmest tones dusts through Gilded Age and enters into an affair with precious ambergris resin. Light chords of tobacco and delicate leather sound like a sensual ticking through the perfume. Fine and indescribably noble is this perfume. Antique and immeasurably sublime, it seems to rest above things. You'd think time would stand still. Gilded Age Is just timeless, beautiful!
The last comment for this year is dedicated to time and my time here at Parfumo. Beautiful times, wonderful times and unforgettable times. Therefore I wish all readers and all members here a
happy, healthy, harmonious, successful and always fragrant 2019. It was as always a joy to be here with you and it was a wonderful year for me. Thank you!
And one more thing! I don't regret a second!
